You might have a point if Temples were built for the purpose of gaining more converts. Temples are built on behalf of members already on the books; if there are enough existing members to merit one, the surrounding conversion rate makes no difference.

Well, yes and no. And that's an interpretative paraphrase, I'm guessing. It's certainly not a quotation.

Again, yes and no. The term muslim in the Qur’an simply means "a submitter [to the will of God]." It's the active participle of the Form IV verb aslama, "to submit." It's very doubtful that, in Muhammad's day, it signified anything denominational. (For instance, Abraham is described as a "muslim" for having been willing to sacrifice his son at God's command.)

And nothing in the passage can legitimately be translated as "evil-livers," so I'm wondering where you get that phrase.

Again, you're quoting some sort of paraphrase. And quite an inaccurate one, too. The passage speaks only of wujuhukum Washington aydikum ("your faces and your hands"), and is referring to ritual purity for prayer, presumably after sexual intercourse (not just after "touching a woman").

Again, you've got some sort of paraphrase here, not a translation. But it's true that the Qur’an appears to teach a docetic Christology.
