Nelson:temple marriage the only one, so why bother w/ prop8?

Nelson, who has two wives(dead and alive), gave a talk on temple marriage and insisted that temple marriage was the ONLY way to gain a seat in the top tier of the CK.

So by his definitions, all marriages outside of the temple fall short of a Mormon Temple Marriage®, including homosexual marriages.

Why bother with guilting the members into financially supporting prop 8 in California? What does Elohim and Jesus care? According to one of their divine Apostles, it is held in the same regard as all other marriages.

A non Mormon Temple Marriage is easier to repent of. One need not divorce in order to become temple worthy.

One is a form of the other. Why not put and end to the state sanctioning another form of it? Heterosexual marriage sanctioned by the state is fine because it puts people on the right track. There is a social expectation of doing the right thing.
