On top of that, you yourself are ignoring what Christlike behavior really is.
Amazingly enough I noted that I needed to better heed his words as well. But I see many who claim to be dedicated defenders here and on other boards that are far far away from the standards he outlined.
As far as determining what is Christ like behavior I am not interested in your interloping of what you think it is to justify some of your actions which clearly fall outside at times what Elder Hales is talking about and is indeed bad behavior.
I wonder if someone he trusted sent him a link to MAD, and if he was appalled as I am by the unSaintly behavior of the Saints there.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
Seems more like you are clinging to a talk which is about only one aspect of Christlike behavior to the exclusion of all others. Smacks of gospel hobbyism.
Now this is quite humorous coming from the biggest gospel hobbyist I have watched on this board. Just think BCs sig line.l
If you exclude all other doctrinal statements and scriptures in favor of your position (like all LDS democrats do), you've got a gospel hobby.
And BCs constant harping that an LDS cannot be a democrat or vote as such and still be a good LDS person is not a hobby and this in spite of OFFICIAL LDS STATEMENTS that he claims in his own sig line are doctrine? This is a gospel hobby if I ever saw one. BCs condemnation of anyone including LDS GAs that are liberal in their political views puts himself above the LDS GAs and doctrine he claims to support. Can you say ark steadying BC?

It has been strange to see him literally do exactly that which he decries.

I'm sure nobody feels bad, or guilty, or whatever, about his batchelorhood more than Nehor himself, and he doesn't need anyone constantly reminding him about it. It's like pouring salt onto a wound and then grinding it in.
That was very decent of you, Sethbag.
I will second your opinion, and add from a guy who has been married twice, I envy Nehor his bachelorhood.

Interestingly we have two people on this thread declaring who can and cannot be Mormon. Collegeterrace, your assertion is false.

Thanks for your support but I have to disagree with Sethbag's statement. I don't feel bad or guilty about not being married. I used to but God told me to stop. Occasionally I can feel a little lonely but I'm happy. God has also seen fit to tell me why I have to wait so much longer and his reasons are very, very good. I had some character defects (defects most non-LDS wouldn't consider defects) to deal with that come from before the world was. It was a painful process but I think they're gone now. For a while I wasn't sure if God was a vivisectionist or a surgeon but now that the pain is over I find him to be the latter. Now hopefully marriage comes up next or I am led to something else in sore need of correction. Hoping for the former but have no way of knowing
As soon as I can find someone I can be happier with I'll form an eternal kingdom with them. As a side benefit it seems that in addition to being happy Porter will now treat my thoughts as seriously as he does all the other married LDS on this board (i.e. no change).

So with a broad brush, Hale painted all pro Mormon defenders tools of Satan!
How so? He used the term "unChristlike". Are you familiar with the Biblical descriptions of how Christ handled these situations? Do you know the difference between the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the regular man on the street?
That is right. You could count on two hands the number of unChristlike defenders at Mad, and still have a few fingers left over. Those folks are probably too far absorbed in what they are doing to follow Elder Hale's admonition. The majority of the people at MAD are nice friendly people.
---- To answer Bcspace's question: The regular man would wear a light blue shirt, the Sadducee would have white French cuffs on his blue shirt and the Pharisee would think them both irreverent for not wearing white shirts.
