You did in 1998.

No I didn't.

(Let it be noted that Mini-Scartch has dropped the feigned modesty of "suggested" here.

The central dogma of Scartchodoxy is that I'm a liar. Nothing may be permitted to compromise that doctrine.

Sure ....

My successor as chairman of the board never wrote or spoke a single apologetic word during his entirely satisfactory and very successful multiyear term in office, and was never expected to do so -- which demonstrates beyond reasonable doubt that apologetic writing and speaking were not duties of the board chairman as such.

This has all been explained to you and to Master Scartch multiple times.

Alas, acute congenital Scartcholepsy has no known cure.

I'll be out for much of the night, so, knowing that Mini-Scartch will be back to assert the relevant portion of the Scartchodox creed again, I might as well simply post my reply in advance:

Mini-Scartch, though obsessively persistent (in the manner common to chronic Scartcholeptics), is persistently wrong.

I was never paid $20,000.00 per year, nor anything even close to that figure, for my services as chairman of the FARMS board.

If you really want to know if that amount of money changed hands, the person you need to ask is his wife. She will know to the penny how much he made that year.

I have an idea. Get Liz or Shades to pin a thread titled "DCP vs Scratch", and there will be only two posts on this locked thread. Scratch's claim, and DCP's reply in bright purple. Then we can all read it over and over and decide who we believe.

It's not polite to derail, Ray. Let's get back on topic, okay?

I'm glad to see that some of you are getting into the spirit of this fascinating and wonderfully profound exchange.

I'll be away from the board for the next few days, though, so I think I'd better post the following important message:

I was never paid $20,000.00 per year, nor anything even close to that figure, for my services as chairman of the FARMS board.

You and FARMS are in disagreement, then.

We are talking about you, not your successor (whose comp. we can't check because Form 990's are not available after mid-1999, when FARMS joined BYU). But the 1998 Form 990 says you were paid $20,400 for your services as board chair.

FARMS's 1998 Form 990 suggests otherwise. Tough luck, big guy.

Too bad FARMS informed the IRS, under oath, that this isn't the case. Sucks to be you.
