But during a special satellite broadcast from Salt Lake City tonight to LDS chapels in Utah County as well as in California, LDS authorities are expected to ask Brigham Young University students and other Californians living in Utah to participate in phone trees in support of Proposition 8, which would define marriage as exclusively between a man and a woman.
Most likely Church lawyers have said they are on safe ground, but I think this only hastens the day when tax-exemptions are revoked due to active campaigning for ballot initiatives.
As an aid to my fellow LDS, I will add my own imaginative dire consequences: A marauding squadron of renegade Gays will commandeer the Oakland Temple and demand to be sealed for time and eternity.
Will we let that happen? Heck no! We shall man the battlements, we will not surrender!

*sings* Jesus said, "Love every one, treat them kindly too".
That includes your homosexual neighbors, family members, friends, co-workers, and citizens of the world.
So, do you think that a person who supports Proposition 8 in California is a bigot and homophobic? By definition?
No. I would not categorize you as a bigot, or as being homophobic, solely based on your position regarding Prop 8.
Harmony's comments, and mine, were directed to Gaz. He made some very inappropriate bigoted slurs. If you had used those same slurs, then, yes, I would view you as a bigot and homophobic. However, I have never seen you use that type of language, or conduct yourself in that manner. I respect you for that, and I hope that Gaz can follow your example on that score.

In what ways do you feel gay marriage would be bad for society?

Your response to me is misplaced. We are not discussing my anger and hatred of the behavior of a penantant soul. My comments were placed towards the participants of a gross and vile lifestyle they are currently engaged in.
If my comments were towards a former sinner, then you would be correct in reproving me. These twisted perverts who are seeking to change the definition of a family and pervert the institution of marriage are the very enemies of God himself, and should be treated as such.
People who seek to defend these unchaste and vile defilers of the flesh are the ones in need of repentance, not me.
