The sad thing is, the calendar wasn't even porn. It wasn't even soft porn. It was a bunch of guys with no shirt on... big deal. Any beach in the country... heck, any swimming pool in Utah... is loaded with them. The problem was, the guy connected the shirtless men with LDS missionaries, which indirectly connected his calendar with the church.
Marriott doesn't make the porn; he just sells it. And he doesn't connect it with the church. No one entering a Marriott hotel would ever connect the cable service with the LDS church.
I'm surprised he's still a GA, but I think the leaders that know about his sale of porn (which may or may not be a substantial number of them) know that the members by and large
don't know about it. And as long as the members don't know, the money continues to roll in.
