Well, whatever works for you. Ignoring things that irritate us seems to work so well, don't you think? Financial crisis. Tyrants. Religious extremism. P-Diddy.

You do the math.

Yeah, ignoring dorks on a message board is just like ignoring a tyrant or world crisis.

You need to double check your math.

People need to learn how to deal with dissent, and contrarian opinions. Real life consequences of "head in the sand" behavior is calamitous.

There is a big difference between disagreements and verbal abuse.

I don't ignore anyone. And I'd be clueless as to how to start now.

Riiiiight.

You + Ignore Button = Head in the sand.

That's a fine way to live. Just peachy. Whatever works for you. I mean if we go along our whole lives ignoring everyone who bothers us, why, we might not ever learn anything at all. In fact, I remember being told to ignore all those 'anti-Mormon' lies, and not to read 'anti-Mormon' books, and 'anti-Mormon' message boards. Thank Obama I didn't ignore them.

I disagree with most of the people on this board. I definitely don't like half the people who post here. But I have learned something from every_single_one of them. "Ignoring" people may seem like an easy route to peace of mind, and that may be the case... But it also stunts your thinking and personal growth.

Dude, you're taking this board way too seriously.

We obviously disagree on our individual obligations to interface with others. I make my choices, and I don't see any reason to change them.

I think there should be a scoreboard page where we can see who is currently ignoring whom.

I voiced my opinion on this ignore feature numerous times.

I think its a terrible thing, and that it should be done away with.

I think people should have a choice (whether they want to be gay, or use ignore), even though I don't use it myself.
