The way society views men makes me think that it won't be long before lesbian marriages are seen as best for raising children.

Hi Asbestosman,

I happen to think there are a lot of fabulous men who are GREAT fathers. I actually think a lot of younger dads have moved beyond the silliness of thinking it is not manly to be a devoted, interactive, and loving father.

Having said this, I do think a lesbian couple would be much better parents than a couple where a father was abusive or not an integral part of a child's life.

And research shows that lesbian couples are the happiest of all partnerships, so... hmmm...

:-)

Or perhaps the gayest. ;)

I've heard (but find difficult to believe) that lesbian couples also have a higher rate of domestic abuse. I don't remember who had a link though--it may have been bcspace, smac, or I may have made it up. Stastics are mostly lies anyhow.

Could they really be the happiest? Maybe. Would that make it any more acceptable to me? No, nor would it be less acceptable if they were less happy than heterosexual couples.
