Re: Silentkid's Video Game Thread
You can come play Wii with my family, SK. It's only a twelve hour drive.
Hopefully, I'll find the Wii as entertaining as does this little boy:

So, I'm finally progressing further in Mega Man 9. Man this game is difficult. I've beaten all of the preliminary bosses and am now on the first Dr. Wiley level. Wish me luck. Asbestosman, you need to get on it. They have it for the 360 as well. $10 I think.
I'm also playing this new game called Dead Space. It's pretty cool. Very atmospheric and creepy. Kind of a mix of Resident Evil 4, Doom 3, and Bioshock.

I only have a PC. My brother is the one with the Wii, but he decided to get Bomberman and Dokapon Kingdom instead. I'll see if I can get him to change his mind about the Megaman game. I know he like Megaman too. He said it sounded good, but he wanted the others more. Heck, maybe I'll offer to buy it for him for Christmas. Now, if only the Wii were as portable as Nintendo DS / Sony PSP.
And speaking of Megaman, I actually found a two player version on an arcade somewhere in upper-state New York, but I forgot what it was called. Two of my brothers were fighting bosses together. If I could find a classic Megaman with two player simultaneous play for the Wii / PC, that would be totally awesome.

Re: Silentkid's Video Game Thread
I just picked up the new Guitar Hero Word Tour game. I didn't buy the instrument packs, just the game, cause I already have two guitars. Also, I have no friends with whom to play the entire band mode, so I don't need the drums. So far, the tracks are pretty good. My favorite part is being able to create my own creepy, chimp-looking, rocker and getting to design his guitar as well. The Tool venue is Hawesome with an H. I'm trying to get through the game on hard before I attempt expert. So far, it seems a little easier than GTH 3. Rock on.

Since all I do is work and play video games, I picked up another new one, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. It's the balls. I'm hoping Skippy picks this up so we can race online. You up for that, Skippy? I'm going to be in Vegas this weekend, harassing Steuss, but I'll be all over the MotorStorm next week.

Balls, eh?
Queer.
(I just checked out the website for the game... got sick of waiting for every single thing to load. Maybe I'll talk my friend into getting it from Gamefly to check out)

I was going to say it's the ovaries but that didn't sound quite right.

I will be celebrating election day (I voted last Wednesday) by playing Resistance 2. Then I'll play some MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, followed by some Dead Space and a little Mega Man 9. When I get bored, I'll play some Guitar Hero World Tour. Then I'll watch a bunch of episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Charlie makes me laugh. Then I'll sleep for a while. My clothes smell like Subway. Dammit.

Re: Silentkid's Video Game Thread
In EVE Online we had an enteresting week last week. One of the largest player allianes in the game, BoB (Band of Brothers) went on an offensive against a combined force of the Northern Alliance and RedSwarm (a.k.a. GoonFleet and their Russian allies Against All Authorities). For four days bother sides faught over a patch of 0.0 security space that ties Empire Space (high security space, a.k.a. Carebear Land) to the northern 1/4 of 0.0 in a System called E-O.
In a span of three days BoB lost two Titans, over 2 dozen Dreadnoughts, and over half a dozen Carriers while NA/Redfleet losses were around 24 capital ships (Dreads and Carriers). The two BoB Titans that died were both piloted by the same player, a guy named Shrike, who now holds the EVE record for Titan losses at three of them blown out from under him. To put this loss in perspective, the average cost of a Titan in in-game currency is 80 billion ISK. The current RMT exchange rates of 1 billion ISK for $32US. Add to that around 80 billion ISK in loseds of capital warships and faction/officer modules, this is by far the costliest campaign in EVE history.
One of my Alts is on both Shrike Titan Killmails!
