Re: The Mormon Gulag
Just become aware of this thread.
GoodK - I find your claims more than credible. You're taking the high road - and you get total respect from me for that.
These places sound unconscionable. I wish you the best of luck in what you're trying to do...

hi folks, just a quick update ( computer still out of commission ) I was just made aware of a series of videos now up on YouTube from the protest last month. I'm sorry I can't provide the links, but if you search Abuse at Westridge Academy or Utah Boys Ranch Abuse you will find them. Apparently there are about five, and supposedly I'm in one, but I haven't seen it yet. Take a look and comment if you feel like it.

Those videos were very well done. The questions were good, and the responses were sincere and credible. by the way "gulag schools" would be another good search criteria. The other day I searched using that and one video came up, but the sound has been taken away, don't know why. It seems that many involved with this issue do use the term "gulag" to apply to these behavior modification schools.

I picked the one that was ever so slightly hunkier than me.

I came across a letter written by a young gay man who had attended the Utah Boys Ranch. He writes a letter to his parents and the sort of abuse he experienced by staff at the ranch and includes the names of those involved and a letter to them as well.
If this fellow is telling the truth they are wacko therapists at that Utah Boys Ranch. He mentions 3 staff members and what at least on of them did to him. They are Jeff Murdock, Mike Ruoho (the current head of the school) , and Frank Rees.

Eric if you could get a hold of this guy he would make a good testimonial for your site.
I realize your site is in limbo atm due to your computer crashing and your inability to access it, unless you spend about $1,000 to fix it which you do not have currently.

That post brought me to tears, Marg.
I'm glad that this young man has found peace.

Dave and I have actually met a few times. He's a great guy. One of the most vile aspect of the Mormon Gulag (and church, for that matter) is their treatment of gay people.

What's sad is, it doesn't even sound like Dave was showing any indications of being gay when all of this "treatment" was going on. He was just a normal teen-ager curious about his body. What these people did was sick.
