Did I ever tell you I'm a pretty good fisherman? I'm embarrassed to say it, but one of my best days fishing was on a Sunday. I caught over thirty native trout on spinners no less and still felt bad about it.

Don't sweat it man. God will forgive you. My guess is he really is not all that uptight about what we do on Sunday and we Mormons make him out to be. Really!

Instead of chapel, I suspect you mean church house/ward building.

You're right; I meant church house/ward building. Oops! Good eye.

I have an idea for you to pass along to your friend. Suggest to her that she go ahead and plan the biggest bash she wishes. Then, when the bishop questions her, have her just say, "But bishop, this IS the toned-down version!"

(Because after all, when it comes to receptions, big/small is entirely in the eye of the beholder.)
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

I forgot to tell you that I was assigned to give a talk that day and I just blew it off. No, wait! That would be some Dunnishness on my part.

Is that how you honestly view this board? If it is, then I again think that your vision is skewed. If you read Jersey Girl's poll, you will see that the make-up of the board is the following:

Which best describes you?
LDS 33% [ 13 ]
Ex-LDS 53% [ 21 ]
Never-LDS 12% [ 5 ]
Total votes : 39

So, yes, there are slightly more Ex-LDS than LDS posters, but there is still a significant amount of LDS posters here.

Also, I don't know that I would categorize the majority of Ex-Mo's who post here Anti-Mo's. Those are two completely different concepts. Yes, there are a couple of Ex-LDS posters who vehemently speak out against the Church, who I would actually consider "anti", but not the majority.

But, let's say that you honestly do view the board the way you describe. If that is the case, what is the fascination with posting here? I would honestly think that if you really thought of this place as the "den of iniquity" you describe, you would want to stay as far away from it as possible.

To be right about nearly 50% of the board is not bad at all. (I do believe some few exmos are probably honest). by the way, for more accurate results, what are the percentages of those categories making posts? For example, are 75% of posts made by ex mos and 25% by the rest or the other way around?

But, let's say that you honestly do view the board the way you describe. If that is the case, what is the fascination with posting here?

As I've said before, to test my arguments and opinions in the fire, to help innoculate against antiMormon arguments, and general entertainment.
