"So? I love you, Cassie. You're good with me." And so she shall ever be, Gaz. She is my sister. And yes, she and her partner are welcome, with open arms, in my home. My daughters adore her. I adore her.
I was there in the hospital room when she was born. She's thirteen years my junior, so I had the opportunity to babysit her more than I really wanted to, but I'm glad of it now. I love her even more because of the time I spent with her. I find your wishes for violence toward her and others like her incredibly saddening.
Fourth, I'll ask now that folks not rail on Gaz. Perhaps posters who used to feel somewhat the way Gaz feels
With all due respect Kim, how likely is it that anyone here, well, just about anyone here, has ever felt "somewhat the way Gaz feels"? I understand what you're saying to the point of being generally "anti-gay", thinking it's bad, evil, and sinful. That's one thing, and anyone with a Mormon background probably felt the same way at one point. I think I even did. But, I think it would be very uncommon for most Mormons to wish "blood atonement" on the sister of someone they know. Heck, most Mormons either don't know what blood atonemet means or pass it off as some "wild" Brigham Young teaching that the church doesn't believe in. I've never met a Mormon in real life who believes in blood atonement at all. Let alone a BY era reconstructionist who wishes to bring back the doctrine in revenge against gay people. It's too far out there, Kim. No one here has seriously "struggled with similar feelings" like this. I'm not even so sure that Gaz struggles with these feelings, I'm half thinking it's some weird ploy to get sexual attention from women online.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.
LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.
Let me put it this way;;;;;;; I want to hear all this sad homosexual stories, I want this world full of poverty, autistic, abnormal people.... (That's really part of my job in this merciless life)
Jersey Girl, You are truly pathetic, if you were looking for a job or selling some stuff to me I'd probably waste couple minutes with you. You do not posses capability to understand whatever you say or do.

I hear what you're saying, Gad. Essentially, I was speaking of the generally "anti-gay" sentiments many of us had as Mormons. I never really had those feelings, why I do not know, but I know many others did. And, it doesn't take leaving the Mormon church to change one's anti-gay attitudes. My neighbor, who is a Mormon, and who initially expressed disgust toward my sister and her partner at my daughter's birthday party, has completely changed her tune over the last several years. She's now sincerely friendly with my sister and has even learned a few signs to communicate with her.
I guess I hope that Gaz will come to the conclusion my neighbor did. My neighbor still views homosexuality as a sin, but she seems to genuinely like and respect my sister. I am pleased as punch with her turn-around.

Solo, the above quote about Jersey Girl just isn't true. You can disagree with her, but Jersey Girl is hardly an imbecile. Goodness.

I say she is. Hell, big time.... Im not sorry to come across like an sob.

You don't come across like an sob, solo. You come across as one who started firing shots on account of a desire to oppose anti-gays and didn't realize you were shooting at someone (me) who has already engaged Gaz multiple times (just last evening infact) regarding his position on gay rights.
Engaged, solo. However much I disagree with his position on gay rights, I would never attempt to single him out for public ridicule on this board.
Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

Thanks for the OP. I agree with your sentiments entirely.
No place for bigotry here.
The righteous have this Hierarchy of Tolerating Whoredoms chart. I know it's imagined, but I think they got things all mixed up.
Why can't we just step back and see people for their intrinsic value?
Jersey Girl (Chatty Kathy Doll),
I don't even read the responses to your nutcase posts. How about a little relevance occasionally? I wish you would please stop.
Gaz,
You got some 'splaining to do. Your God is a real A-hole for raising you the way he did. You haven't noticed that He has changed His mind since Old Testament times. There are a lot of things He does not do anymore now that Jesus has taught Him a little about tolerance and love. Nevertheless..
