I was replying to your point about Family Values, not your subsequent point about the tyranny of the majority. You claimed "people" were sick of Family Values. That is obviously not true, based on the number of voters who actually put pen to paper (or punched out the appropriate hole) and voted to codify those same Family Values. Your subsequent point, about the tyranny of the majority, has nothing to do with your original point about Family Values.

Several million people voted on this ballot measure. An insignificant fraction of those were Mormon. It's not just the Mormons who voted against rewriting the definition of marriage; several million other California voters also voted the same way. Your options now is to hope for some relief from the courts or bring it up again on another ballot in the future.

My interest was also piqued when the Brackite posted those photos. It makes me think that the notion of a "Celestial Wife" is purely pornographic in nature. Thus, Dallin Oaks and other LDS apostles with multiple celestial wives are viewing things as.... Well, I'd probably best leave it at that.
