I suspect he spoke in haste and in the heat of the moment, and now wishes to repent of his hasty words. If not, he is not a worthy priesthood holder and he should turn in his temple recommend immediately. These kinds of thoughts have no business in the temple.

We don't get the option of saying, "I brought you into this world, and if you defy me by being gay, you are not a member of my family." Children, and more importantly to Gaz, children BIC are not expendable, not to be thrown away. They are a sacred trust and God expects fathers to uphold their priesthood duties as fathers, or they will pay the consequences. Surely I don't have to quote our leaders' thoughts on this.

Do you REALLY have to be a bitch to her? She's pretty. She's well-liked. Get over it.

by the way, I don't go around call other women bitches, I would consider that un-christ like as you would say, but obviously your religion doesn't seem to offer you much guidance on things like that. This is the second time on this board you've called me a bitch. I take that as a defect in your character that you use that word against other women.

Now onto the issue, you would have to be pretty naïve to not realize why a post such as the above would not illicit a response of sexual interest from a male. And I'm not being judgmental against any male who should respond with interest, nor judgmental about her as far as her sexual activities. So if one chooses to post about one's sexual promiscuity, one's high sex drive, one's intimate sexual practices, one's looks as being attractive, etc. etc whether it is all true or not, one is likely to draw interest from the opposite sex on a message board. That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. So it is up to Moniker to stop it, or accept the male responses of interest without complaint.

Marg,

Isn't that argument similar to the argument Muslim men sometimes use, that women should cover from head to toe to "avoid male attention". I mean, Aussie women walk around scantily clad in summer, but men don't go up to them and say, "you're asking for it". I'd suggest much of the problem comes from some males here who think this that a message board is a "meat market". Maybe they never heard of Dating.com. When male posters use all kinds of sexual imagery, does anyone think that's "uncool"?

You don't agree?

A lot depends on context. When there are lots of people pretty much all doing the same thing it becomes acceptable and not given much notice. One can be practically nude on a beach and it not given a second thought, and same thing walking down a street in summer with little on. But scantily clad in an office environment in which it's not acceptable and common would likely draw attention and viewed as unprofessional.

I don't know what you mean by "when male posters use all kinds of sexual imagery, does anyone think that's "uncool"?" Rarely do I find anything of a sexual nature "uncool" as long as parties involved are mature adults and no one is being exploited or being put under undue influence.

Don't mistake my comments regarding Moniker as criticisms of her sexual nature whatever it may be. My comments are that within the context of this being a message board on the Net filled with essentially anonymous individuals, that it is not a surprise to be propositioned if one implies one is interested or available and as well since moral values obviously differ if one presents a rather promiscuous self that one might receive some negative judgmental pms or posts.

No, but it's exactly what pops up in the subconcious of every normal, healthy human male the instant they are seen.

The subconscious? It was Preident David Mc Kay who is reported to have said, "if you don't look once, you're not a man, if you look twice, you're not an Elder".

Did I ever say there was something wrong with looking? There is something wrong thinking that what a woman is wearing is "an invitation".

Thanks, that helps relieve the Toaster Lovers in this group, of much undue guilt. Even if we seem to have no spread on our English muffins, we are by no means asking for it (with the possible exception of boysenberry).

Yes but if you have no jam and someone offers some, there's no need to take it as a personal afront. It's normal to want and like jam, and why should one expect if you are sitting there without any on your toast, that you don't want anyone to offer you any. Personally I don't eat much toast and jam for breakfast. I don't handle carbs well, I tend to get rapid rises and lowerig of blood sugar levels if I eat only high glycemic carbs.

Derail it all you like, Gaz. It's not a serious thread and it looks like the votes are in.
