I tend to view religion (and theism) as what we do, and not what we say or pretend to believe, so I think it is likely we've already had a few atheist presidents who pretended they were Christian.

Taft was a Unitarian, and he was in all likelihood an agnostic. He qualifies as being in the last 100 years barely.
I think times are changing. I think an atheist may be president in about 20 years.
What difference woudld it make if it were an atheist president?
