I see it!

You're right. So long as you can edit from within, you can delete your posts. I once got so annoyed on a board that I began deleting my posts from within. You could see evidence of that if you knew where to look.

I support that you think it's important for people to speak on on various issues however, on a board like this you're preaching to the choir. I also think the items that I listed and have referred to in recent posts such as limited focus, the nature of the board, lack of diversity in the community and lack of thoughtful discussion are worth noting.

This board has been online for two years now. The pervasive conditions of this board have been here from the start and likely aren't going away any time in the near or distant future therefore, I see no reason personally to rise to Shades continued challenge to make MDB what you would like to see it become.

The very fact that Porter has to advise harmony to post a topic in the Celestial and "nurse it along" is telling in and of itself.

My 2 cents.

I'm not disagreeing with you entirely, however we got to let people express themselves any way they choose to.
The only wish I'd have is; They (including me) would post here with small measure of civility.
Having said this I don't think we should tip-toe our opinions just to please.
I'd love to see more history & culture & mission related posts.

I thought activity dropped after the address and software change. Seemed to be much more going on before then.

Technically, “editing” to make any complex, detailed, analytical post reduced to the word “deleted” is not to have deleted.

Yet, it’s making the “rule” a form without substance.

I presume you could just “edit” a post to a period, a single dot.

On the issue of all Mormonism all the time, with “moderators” who can, at will, move or alter posts makes for a very small space in which to function mentally.

Yes, you could edit to a single dot or other character. I type the word delete as a courtesty to moderators who are looking to delete extraneous posts.

Yes. My point exactly.

Exactly.

In my post there was no use of bold type. See above. But when you quote me, you make bold the words which were standard type. Hence someone reading who did not see my original post would think I said what is under “Quote.”

You don't have a point, JAK. You are worthless!

See how that works Jersey Girl.

Hence, the format of the board allows anyone to misquote someone else and make it stand as if the person actually said it. Ah, but I was given to understand this is all just "entertainment."

Yes, I see how it works. I'm not at all entertained by it. I find it a tiresome game.

Well, what do you want Harmony? How many years does Mormonism have to be on the Internet in order for it, and its history, to be something to be discovered? It's well past that now.

Jersey Girl, the disgusting wench, is right. This forum, and pretty much all others are past that now. It comes down to people blindly believing in it, or not. That's it.

Dear Harmony,

Please don't leave this Great Message Board. It will make me, The Brackite sad, if you depart and leave this Great Message Board. Please stick around here longer.
