Once again, Jersey Girl, I find that I am in agreement with your comments here. With the number of posts on this board (and your nearly 6900), it is not possible for a 24/7 “moderator” to catch every error of spelling, syntax, or consistency. As a result we have selective moderating. As a result, my interest here is far less than yours given the volume of posts to the forum. In agreement with you, a threaded view which links every post to the one upon which it is an intended comment is superior. New posts stand at the front as “new topic” wherein the person who makes that post is clearly identified.

On a related thought is that a person can appear as many different people when the individual is actually the same one. YOU, for example have always maintained identity with personal integrity so far as I know. You don’t post under multiple names thus making an appearance that you are supporting another poster, when in fact, you are the same person. For that, you and others who have retained their original identity, credit should be given!

For the most part I have maintained my identity, scars and all. I did post on ZLMB with another name, but when I first posted here I used that so folks would recognize me. Then, I changed it back to my original-original screen name Jersey Girl. Because I am.

I noticed your exchanges with Shades on another thread, but I don't feel moved to contribute there at all and barely feel moved to chime in on this thread.

I did want to say that with regards to editing posts, that I know posters who would totally decimate people that modified their posts.

I know whereof I speak.

If I move a post to the Telestial forum without noting why, then it's because the reason is already painfully obvious.

As far as the swear words, sometimes the filter doesn't catch the swear words. Most of the time, it does, but just like any other software, sometimes there are glitches, and that is the only other time that any of us have intervened in a post.

No, that's not how it works. There aren't "glitches;" the times I have to edit some swear words out are the times people purposefully misspell them in order to circumvent the filter.

After a while, there's only so much you can discuss about the church before you start repeating yourself. Every ten years or so you get some "news" but that's about it...

Perhaps people get tired of the redundancy...

That's very true and the limited focus of the board fairly ensures that. Mormon Discussions with free speech were the premise of the board and there's only so much "mileage" to be had from it.

Stories about exiting the board,
Rants about the board's decline,
Innuendo about conspiring moderators,
and Whines about the good old days
ARE BORING!
