Awesome. I love end of the world predictions. This sounds like good times. Wheat: I'll be laughing at you and your fellow doomsdayers when you mistakenly view the next Leonid meteor shower as a sign of the second coming of Christ.

Damning. Positively damning.

Ed's criticism was overblown, but essentially correct on the whole. I guess the real question is not whether he is right, but whether one agrees with his assessment. May I be so bold as to guess that Bob does not agree with him?

Yep, those pesky constitutional rights can sure be a pain ... thank goodness for the "group of stalwarts in America" willing to take them away.

How does this have anything to do with the substance of what he wrote?

I'll be laughing at you and your fellow doomsdayers when you mistakenly predict the next Leonid meteor shower for the second coming of Christ.

And many of us will be laughing at you and your fellow God-mockers when your wails of remorse rend the air. No human suffering will be more deserved than that of the apostates surprised by the return of Christ in his glory.

I have trampled them in my fury, and I did tread upon them in mine anger, and their blood have I sprinkled upon my garments, and stained all my raiment; for this was the day of vengeance which was in my heart.

And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

I the Lord God will send forth flies upon the face of the earth, which shall take hold of the inhabitants thereof, and shall eat their flesh, and shall cause maggots to come in upon them;

And their tongues shall be stayed that they shall not utter against me; and their flesh shall fall from off their bones, and their eyes from their sockets;

And it shall come to pass that the beasts of the forest and the fowls of the air shall devour them up.

A feast of apostates for the vultures and crows.

Bon appetit!

Right. The recently discovered “constitutional right” to get your peepee poopy, and to force everyone else to congratulate you for it.

I want to express my sincere thanks to the Mormon Discussions message board for helping me to see and understand the true nature of apostasy.

If they were married, it wouldn't be immoral.

Sounds like y'all shot yourselves in the foot on that one.

Re: My little exchange with wheat

Wheat: My example, the Leonid Meteor Shower, is something many Mormons incorrectly identified as a sign of the second coming in the 1800's. But you probably already knew that, seeing how current you are on your doomsday prophecies. Note that I said I would laugh at you for being wrong again. After all, what's the harm in being wrong? I, in no way, take pleasure in the physical and mental suffering of others as you seem to do based on your response to my post. There's a lot of violence there, Wheat. A lot of burning flesh and dissolved tongues. I wish you the best Wheat, even while you, in your Christian way, wishes me the worst. :)

You just have to love these showings of desparate impotance: "I can't getcha, but boy, my big daddy in the sky sure will. You just wait!"

And it shall come to pass that there will be a mass jerking of the chain in my name, for I am everlasting, in the greatest fictitious sense.

And they shall rend their cloths, and gnash their teeth, and in my fictitious name, shall go forth and piss the people of the world off, for it will be known to them in the backs of their minds that they were the great fools, and they were mightily pissed off about it.

And they did rain down a great flood of nonsense, for it was the best they could do without any real assistance from a god, since, you know, I don't actually exist.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
