Ignore the youngest DCP suck up.
Poor kid feels that he must prove his devotion to LDS Inc by attempting to throw himself in the lion's den. He probably thinks he will be famous at the MTC.
LOL, out of the LIAR's den and into the lion's den.
Edit to add: I just looked at one of his youtube clips on his blog. Is is just me or does he look like a chubby young Kerry Shirts? His on camera persona is very similar as well.

... our church isn't true, but we have to keep up appearances so we don't get shunned by our friends and family, fired from our jobs, kicked out of our homes, ... Please don't tell on me. ~maklelan

I can't get his videos to work, so I can't comment. He seems a decent enough fellow, though I had no idea he was so young. I wonder how long it will take him to figure out he's been sold a bill of goods.

I agree. What I don't get is why Steve Smoot didn't come back to debate me on Runtu's blog. I would have gone back and forth as long as he wanted on there. But the first I know of it is this thread alerting me to it. Anyway I'll be pretty much out of commission for most of the next two days, but if Steve would like to make a re-appearance on Runtu's blog I'll see if he can provide those long awaited replies to David Wright conclusively showing that he's wrong, which even DCP admits is one of the most challenging "attacks" on Book of Mormon historicity. Young Rom should be able to provide some quick answers.

Well, I watched a video and learned something new. I can now pronounce Tvwedttnizz. Pity I can't spell it.
Finding hebraisms in the Book of Mormon is a bit like finding Wookiees in a Star Wars knock off paperback.

Ah, man. The little fatass needs to get out of the basement. A little exercise might reap a girlfriend, because after looking at that blog, little DCP Jr is definitely overcompensating.
You can’t trust adults to tell you the truth.

Runtu wrote:This is really irritating. Apparently, Rommelator is taking small snippets of my blog posts and using them to attack me. Of course, I have to take others' word for it, since I've been suspended over there and cannot see the board, let alone respond.
If you're going to attack me, at least give me a chance to see what you're saying and respond.
I had no idea you'd been banned, Runtu, and I find Rommelator's treatment of you both disgusting, and, yes: "irritating." What a chicken he is for taking potshots at you on a form where you cannot respond! You ought to lure him over here to MDB. I, personally, would be very interested in offering up some "comments" in reply to his MAD posting.

I think we are observing young Brother Smoot at a key point in his Mopologetic career. He is obviously still very earnest and idealistic. He is at a point where he can either think rationally about the truths central to the Church, or he can dig in his heels and slowly grow very, very bitter in the manner typical of the FARMS / FAIR / skinny-l apologist, as he tries desperately to concoct ways of dismissing historical and other kinds of evidence. If he chooses the latter path, then that really leaves him with only one options: to attack and smear critics of the Church.

And Shades' wonders why people leave.
The discussion was actually going pretty well, attacking his ideas instead of his person, until comments like this one started showing up. Who cares if he's overweight? Who cares if he has a girlfriend, hates exercise, or overcompensates for what you consider his shortcomings? His personal appearance, irrititating foibles, and personal hygiene have nothing to do with his argument. Show some brain, A8: attack his argument.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I agree. Ideas, not the person, are what matter.
I am disappointed that Steve chooses to misrepresent me from the safety of a forum where I can't respond. That's the only negative thing I would say about his person. If he wants to discuss things with me, let him do it in a place where we can actually discuss.

Isn't Steve that kid from Kerry's FAIR conference video? The one fawning on DCP et al.?
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”
