Yes, I agree. And Runtu, if you wouldn't mind, would you invite him over here? As I noted in my OP, I would be most delighted to respond to his call for "comments." I would also be interested in learning why he was taking cheap shots at you and Ray A on a board where you couldn't respond. If he is so tough, and his apologetic acumen is so sharp, then he should be easily able to confront us here in the "dragon's den." Or, will he too crumble, as his idol DCP did?

In any event, please invite him. I will personally give him a warm welcome.

I personally find it heartbreaking that a youth would find himself following this wayward path. It's of course, no surprise that many apologists are willing to egg on his anger, and misdirect teenage angst toward the kinds of artificial targets apologists erect.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

The discussion was actually going pretty well, attacking his ideas instead of his person, until comments like this one started showing up. Who cares if he's overweight? Who cares if he has a girlfriend, hates exercise, or overcompensates for what you consider his shortcomings? His personal appearance, irrititating foibles, and personal hygiene have nothing to do with his argument. Show some brain, A8: attack his argument.

Oh, I think we can be a little more lenient toward attacks directed at people who don't even post here, don't you?

If we get too carried away, it'll even be forbidden to "attack" Joseph Smith, Jr.

Didn't he just contradict himself? Does it read that way, or doesn't it?

Anyone notice anything interesting about Rommel's decorations? There's another German General I'm thinking of who wore what Rommel's wearing in that photo, and I can't think of anyone else, though there might have been one or two others, max. Can anyone tell me what, specifically, I'm referring to, and name the other General?
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

I don't know why Harmony is having an issue with me calling a spade a spade. The FACT that no one is telling this kid to get off the computer is sad. This teenager is swapping social interaction with his own kind for Mormon apologetics. That's kind of gecked up. He needs to be outside, engaged with other people, or spending time with other kids, not on a computer arguing with adults over the nuances of Mormonism. Weird.

That being said, I took at look at the MADB and perused a few of his posts. He's simply a kid caught in typically Mormon denial mechanisms, deflection, and circular reasoning. And yes, he gets a little crappy with people.
You can’t trust adults to tell you the truth.

If I call a kid hopelessly nerdy, Runtu, it is only speaking from personal experience. I am a hopeless nerd myself.

And as for his personal appearance, he is no more or less challenged in that area than I am.

As far as his taking up the cause of Mopologetics, he should be treated the same as any other apologist. He can stick up for himself. Although, I think a little more care on our part should be exercised where minors are concerned.
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”

He's a kid. If we show by our example how to treat people who think differently than we do, perhaps... just perhaps... he will learn how to engage his opposition civilly.

If we get too carried away, it'll even be forbidden to "attack" Joseph Smith, Jr.

Dead people are fair game. We are unable to engage them at all, no matter what side they're on.

That he can. Kid/minor/nerd or no, Rommelator is more capable than all but about 4 or 5 of the apologists on that board.

I think young Rommelator will be an instant hit with the Maxwell Institute as soon as he starts his freshman year at BYU. Too many of the other students are uninterested or too tame. They need a guy who can mix it up. Plus my guess is that he has a propensity toward mass donut consumption. What more could be asked for?

Danna's thoughts about the name Rommelator is interesting. I think it may hearken back to Elder J. Reuben Clark's fondness for preWorld War II Germany.
