Name That Tune!

Post by _Mister Scratch »

I am *still* twiddling my thumbs in anticipation of the latest "steaming" publication from FARMS. Really, why can't they hurry things along? In any case, I thought it would be meaningful, during the wait, to issue forth a Tvedtnes-esque "spoof" of a popular song, in honor of the forthcoming "steaming" release. Can you guess which song this is based upon? The winner will receive affirmation of his or her testimony!

Dr. Peterson

Dr. Peterson, what went on in your head
Dr. Peterson, did you talk with the SCMC
Your lifestyle to me seemed so tragic
With the thrill of it all
You fooled all the people with apologetics
You waited on Elder Packer's call

Dr. Peterson, did you think you were pure
Dr. Peterson, in nocturnal rapport
Uncovering things that were sacred manifest on this earth
Conceived in the eye of a secret
And they scattered the afterbirth

Solo

Dr. Peterson, won't you rely on a Florida horse
Dr. Peterson, it's symbolic of course
Approaching a time that is classic
I hear TBMs call
Approaching a time that is drastic
Standing with their backs to the wall

Epilogue:
Was it polemically sent
I wanna know what you meant
I wanna know
I wanna know what you meant

Bonus points for anyone who can name the album from which this parodic rendition was derived!

Song: "Mr. Crowley"
Artist: Ozzy Osbourne
Album: Blizzard of Ozz
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Ya gotta love the classics.
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”

No wonder I had no clue. The only Ozzy song I've ever heard or liked was Momma, I'm Coming Home. My son sent it to me on CD he created for me while he was in Boot Camp.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Your son was allowed to make CDs in Boot Camp?? Just what service did he join, anyway?
