Don't you mean Beastie?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Not if it's a misdirected faith, Mok. He will eventually have two choices:

1. It's all a gigantic fraud.

2. I need to understand Joseph Campbell better.

The latter will make him more human and compassionate.

As a reminder, there IS a Celestial forum that is heavily moderated. If he truly wanted to be an apologist then this would be a good opportunity for him to do so withouth having to endure overly disrespectful behavior.

This is why I think they're not serious about what they do. The could leave the safe confines of MAD, but they don't. They know why.

Our mutual hero Joseph Campbell. His soups were good too.

If it were revealed that Mr. Scratch is actually Monson, what a wonderful world it would be.

I myself was called some rather nasty names, but did I cower behind the unbelievably lame excuse that the comments were "over-the-top"? No. I did not.

That's a very, very good point. Now that you mention it, I myself don't recall ever being intimidated by any believer on any board at any time. If I had been invited to a different board to answer for myself to a bunch of believers, I would've relished the opportunity to defend my words.

You are right. Why is it that some believers aren't comfortable discussing Mormon issues in a forum that isn't heavily weighted toward their side?

Good question. I'll bet it's because they're subconsciously aware of the hopeless fragility of their own worldview.

HEY ROMMELATOR: If you're really the great white hope of Mopologetics, if you're really all that Kerry Shirts has you cracked up to be, if you really did whip the opponents of the Book of Abraham, then I hereby challenge you to come and give us the smackdown over here.

You see, my dear Rommelator, it's the very epitome of easiness to assume you're "all that" while tucked away in the safe confines of a group of like-minded folks who wouldn't dream of challenging you. It's something else entirely to throw your hat into a ring full of people who have both the knowledge and the know-how to answer every one of your Mopologetics tit-for-tat.

If you're really "all that," just what are you afraid of? Put your reputation where your mouth is and join us.
