How can this be, if there is only one prophet allowed at a time?

What's interesting is that his message is one of peace, not sending him 10%.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I thought Mormons had quite a few prophets at any given time (aren't Apostles ordained as prophets, seers and revelators)?

On an unrelated note, I dug his little speech. I was surprised by how much of a Mahayana flavor it had.
