I, too, am pleased that things turned out okay.
Several years back I had my car stolen from a parking garage, and so while I can only empathize what fear that you and your daughter must have felt, I know intimately the feelings of personal violation. It is unfortunate that we live in a world where people are driven by drugs and greed and so forth to violate the sanctity of our homes and take what is not theirs.

It's just weird how I can be fine one moment, and the next I'm just reliving the horrified feelings. I'm so glad he didn't hurt her.

I too am glad to hear your daughter is safe, Runtu. In my job I rely on the police quite a lot, and my regard for them is quite high (most of the time).

The police here were not only very professional but also compassionate and kind. After the officers had restrained the burglar, the officer came back into the house and made sure she was OK, and he gave her a hug and comforted her. He later called twice to update us on what was going on and also to talk to my daughter to again make sure she was OK.
My regard for the police was already pretty high, but it is higher today.

Wow dude, that is pretty crazy. Glad to hear that worked out with the cops, and that the guy didn't hurt your daughter.
BCSpace: what would happen to the guy depends entirely on whether I, or the cops, get there first, and whether or not he hurts my wife or daughter.
