OK. I spent much of my youth complying with my TBM Mum's interpretation of proper dress. When I got to Church College of NZ, a proper dress code somewhat more strict than my mother's was observed. Then, I see a poster to RFM posts these photos:

Bloody stupid image doofer.
I will try to fix this.
OK the stupid bloody image doofer will not allow me to post the image.
Nevertheless,
Is this legal? I would have been kicked out of CCNZ for the same dress!

Mormon Fashion is an oxymoron.

Re: Mormon Fashion
Let me get this straight....you're trying to show that Mormon fashion is odd by showing pictures of Mormons in the 20's?

The current BYU standards are from the Wilkinson era and were a result of the counter-counter culture movement of the 1960 on campus. Remember, BYU is the only university to have staged a pro-Vietnam war rally!

Re: Mormon Fashion
Danna, you must be bored or something. I can assure you BYU students do not dress the same way they did in the 1920's. Other than not wearing ripped jeans and tank tops, they look pretty much like any other students on college campuses.
John, the dress code is not from the Wilkinson era--anymore. When I attended 25 years ago it was--we couldn't wear jeans. Now, they can wear most clothing--it just needs to be modest and not ripped or dirty. I know what I speak of--my daughter will be attending in January and I read the dress code.

Wait...I attended BYU in 1982-84 time frame. I remember wearing jeans on campus. Are you sure there was a no jeans rule?

I attended from 78 to 80--a little before you.

Don't look down by the shoes. Those women are showing their privates!
When I lived and grew up in Texas, most Church dances were casual which meant jeans and T-shirt or better for everyone. Where I live now, all Church dances are formal except for one ho down in the summer and the girls still have to wear skirts. Bummer.
