It's a good one no doubt. But it would be wrong to cling to the one and ignore any others.

OK, I think I'm finally figuring you out. You seem to believe that apostates and exmos deserve, nay demand, your contempt and condescension. It's the Christlike thing to do, after all.

I think you are seriously misreading the Savior.

Sione, I wouldn't worry. You're in the right place. Sometimes we need a little reminder of that, don't we?

I don't know. The last people I added to Facebook were you, Kimberly, Steuss, Scottie, and Ray. And now bcspace doesn't like me.

Perhaps I'm going to hell but I'm doing it with the right people.

Big UP!

A couple of things:

If you're going anywhere with me, you're going with the wrong people.

I don't think bcspace likes anyone. ;)

Jesus: Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

BC: Greater love hath no man than this, that he love himself.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Let us as Latter-day Saints reach out to others not of our faith. Let us never act in a spirit of arrogance or with holier-than-thou attitude. Rather, may we show love and respect and helpfulness toward them. We are greatly misunderstood, and I fear that much of it is of our own making. We can be more tolerant, more neighborly, more friendly, more of an example than we have been in the past. Let us...treat others with friendship, respect, love, and admiration. That will yield a far better result than will an attitude of egotism and arrogance." Discourses, vol 2. 32

I really do try to live this way. I also agree with President Hinckley that much of the antagonism towards the Church is of our own making. I have a history with some of the non-Mormon posters on this board from my time at MADB. A couple of them said it would be fun to spend some time over here.

What a strange experience it has been. I've wondered why there has been so much vitriol aimed at me personally by a few posters, or if they treat all TBM's like that. I have never, EVER- experienced that in a face to face encounter. I wonder if some feel safer posting from behind their safe computer screen. Something about the anonymous nature of the Internet makes a few act like Jacka$$e$. And you can throw Pahoran, Juliann, or any other TBM that deserves it into the pile. I've just never had someone talk back to me with such contempt and condescension. In fact I've rarely seen people treat other people like we do on these boards. Is it that the cowardice that exists in you disappears behind your keyboard? Now, I'm not a tough guy, I'm just real. I'll treat you here exactly how I would to your face. For those that want to get together, PM me and I'll send you my address. I just hope you bring your manners: not that I'm a rough neck, it's just that I can be a little unstable when pushed.

The other option is that you are just an asshole in real life and it carries over.

Your words sound as stale, lame as GBH's.
Truth be spoken, GBH was a "Mediawhore", his slimy, wishy-washy interviews are well recorded. Give me one of them where he put his religion straight, he told half truths or entire lies with a smiley face.
For you to quote him makes me believe you live in la-la land also.
When you post here or anywhere you accept the terms of being ridiculed, respected or ignored.
I don't have to respect you, I owe you nothing.

Obviously not. BC, Lamanite is a TBM. You, on the other hand, are acting like a moron.

I agree with you, Lamanite. We all need to be kinder to one another.

My beloved President Hinckely. How you misunderstand him solo. I think you misunderstand him on purpose. He was one of the great one's. He took responsibility for his/our shortcomings and allowed others their mistakes as well. He wanted to bring joy and happiness to the whole world through Mormonism if possible. But it was always in the attitude of, "the Church brings me joy, I believe it can bring you joy; bring all the good you have and let us see if we can add to it." And if not, then let us see if we can't work side by side to bring the world greater peace, joy, and happiness. Let us all work towards feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and comforting the widow and fatherless.

Yes, Gordon B. Hinckley was rare among men.

"Let us stand a little higher and let the nobility of good character shine through our lives, I humbly pray in the name of Him who is our great Redeemer, even the Lord Jesus Christ, amen,"

His life and his ministry has made me a better man. It is irrefutable.

Prior to the Gospel this was my life. I stood outside this shot. My younger brother is on the bottom row.

Image

Below are my four daughters and my lovely bride. Because of the Gospel and men like President Hinckley I have a new life and am a new creature in Christ. Truly I am born again

Image

Clothed in filth and sin God reached out to me as I sought him. And through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of the Gospel I am saved. I am blessed. I am free.

Now tell me that in my life GBH is bad. Tell me the Church is useless. Tell me I'd be better off with my younger brother. I talked to the another brother who is doing life in the Draper Prison on Christmas Eve. He is completely institutionalized. I know that feeling. It is opposite of being alive in Christ.

There is one difference between me and my brothers; and that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Tell me my experience is a delusion. Tell me Gang life, drugs, guns, and violence are a better path. I will laugh in your face!

My experience is real.

Do I get it so far solo? LOL, Yeah I think I get it.

What a beautiful family. I spent Christmas day with mine yesterday, and I feel the same way about my children. Your family is more precious than silver or gold, or anything on earth.
