Well, my advice wasn't quite as you suggested, then again I am not LDS, I don't know that it should have been.
Recently in our area, which is the rural South USA 'Bible belt area'. A family that had the LDS Father die had his funeral. His wife was Baptist. Contrary to some sound advice to avoid an opportunity to witness and focus on the the family, that my LDS Uncle had given the Stake Pres...... The Stake Pres. disregarded it.
Sadly, people walked out of the funeral due to what they felt was highly offensive.
I personally don't think a funeral is the place to portray the "Restored" Gospel in a multi-faith audience.
Unless you are Glenn Beck, because he could do it in a cool way that didn't piss anybody off.
