Lamanite, I don't think you should have to bear the burden alone on this.

I'd be happy to chip in something for harmony's travel expenses and to take her (and you) to lunch or dinner or some such thing.

Judging by Harmony's questions/suggestions - not very far.

Perhaps a member of the Twelve can visit Harmony (now that would truly be a modern-day miracle):

Luke 19:

1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

Perhaps. A member of the Twelve once visited my home, to speak with one of my kids.

And that was considerably before I was clothed in ermine robes and given my official Morg Rolls Royce.

I was enormously surprised. It came out of the blue -- actually, the circumstances were pretty funny -- simply because a relative had mentioned something about my son to him and he wanted to meet my boy. The doorbell rang, and there he was.

Another went out of his way about a year ago, because one of our neighbors (a relative of his), mentioned that another son of mine was serving a mission in Japan, to seek my son out and talk with him during a conference in Osaka.

But harmony now has an offer of an entirely free trip, with food and lodging (and even perhaps a bit of entertainment) provided and a meeting set up with the apostle of her choice. That's a pretty good deal, I think.

And the day I want to get excommunicated, I'll take you up on it. Or maybe when I'm in SLCentral on business the next time.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I'm in. And the board is free. My wife and I have a great guest bedroom. (I hope you don't mind the sweet smell of books!)

Thanks for the offer to help out. If we're getting serious about this then I'll roast a pig and we can have a Lu'au! My Mom and Sisters will all cook food, and I'll roast the pig, and we can use a Church house for all the MAD and MDB members who want to come. If it's after the Holidays and we're all less busy, then perhaps our member of the Twelve could come (this I can't guarantee, but I've never know a GA to skip a Lu'au.)

This sounds like fun Harmony. And just think, all those years of pent up frustration can finally be given a voice in front of someone who can help with change, and you get a Lu'au thrown in your honor.

Big UP!

I think you have a very generous and great offer on your table.

I think it's pretty true, actually, that the Brethren are inaccessible to people who avoid them, and that the Brethren don't hear the complaints that people refuse to share with them.

And that's just one more reason to fault and despise them!

An aside.

You're not going to get ex'd. Sterling McMurrin did a million more heretical things than you and he never got ex'd, and President McKay loved him. Moreover, President Monson is not JFS. So quit being paranoid and come have fun and attempt to make the changes to the Church love believe in and love.
