Daniel would resign his membership rather than see me have any influence for change.

I have meetings in Denver, Reno, and Phoenix coming up. Let's see if I can book an extra day when I fly through SLC.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Gratuitous. It's harmony's "great privilege" to meet a member of the Twelve, even if the end result is "her privilege" to hear him say "we will carry on as we please, now just be eternally gratetful that you even met me".

That's neither here nor there.

Harmony's contention is that the Brethren won't meet with ordinary members of the Church, and that they have no idea what's going on among the membership.

Whether or not a member of the Twelve gave her a blessing at the end of her meeting with him in which she set forth her complaints and proposals for remaking the Church wouldn't alter the fact even slightly that they had met and that he had heard her ideas.

It's obvious the only action Harmony want to take towards change is......well.....I guess none.

Do you still want some of my Roast Pig? Let's have a Lu'au at your chapel and we'll have the FAIR warchest pay for the entire affair! Let us drink water from Swarovsky crystal and eat the flesh of beasts, in time of winter!

Big UP!

So no, Mr. Durocher, I will not step into the batter's box at all. Not ever. I will not play for the Dodgers. But I'll sure as hell write a devastating book about how you and your fellow white good ol' boys kept me from my dream of playing major league baseball."

Dissing the Brethren is easier.

If you do a luau, and I'm in the state, I'll try to be there!

OK...do you have a specific member of the twelve you want to meet. And how much time can you give me so that I can see if he is available the day you come into town. If he's not available would you see someone else?

The sooner you can give me a day, the greater likelihood he will have open availability.

Big UP!

You of all people should know that change will never occur, no matter if harmony had a face to face meeting with the Prophet. Because that's not how Mormonism works.

And this is really starting to disgust me.

For those who aren't familiar with the unspeakably dreadful tale at issue here, here's an image, taken from a distance, of the precise moment when my e-mail, which -- obscene and terrible as it sounds --contained (and I shudder even to mention it!) a link to a public message board, arrived at Haus GoodK, a house that had been happy, peaceful, and harmonious until that fatal day:

Glad to see you still feel proud of what you did to my family, when you did it.

Here is my usual response, emphasis added this time:

O.J didn't plead guilty either.

You know, of course, that Paul H. Dunn and Jackie Robinson both played for the Dodgers. Jackie played for Brooklyn and Paul for Twin Falls.

Paul told a story about a baseball he owned that had been signed by Jackie Robinson. Later it was discovered that the autograph had been forged by Mark Hoffman. I'm sure you already knew this given your closeness to Elder Dunn, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

Eugene England meets face to face with Joseph Fielding Smith, convinces him that the Black ban is NOT scriptural, but the ban carries on for nearly ten more years. JFS, contrary to his admission to England, does nothing to stop it.

Yes, but harmony will make a difference. Her concerns will be heard, and like England's consigned to the rubbish bin.
