They blacklist game show hosts now?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

It was in CA. The CA supreme court had recognized the fundamental and constitutional right of gay couples to marry under the CA state constitution.

State recognition is not needed for them to marry and there is no compelling reason for such marriages to be recognized by the state.

It is if you want a legally recognized civil marriage like heterosexuals have. Read the CA supreme court's decision in In re Marriage Cases.

The funny thing about this is it is such a cliché. We all roll our eyes when someone begins their anti-gay rights comments with this sentence. However, in the case of Donny Osmand, it's probably true. I wonder what his friends in Hollywood think. I like Donny Osmand, and I hope he doesn't get blacklisted for this.

I am so, so sick of "some of my best friends are gay" being used in the same breath as saying something horrible. Can you imagine such a thing if it were true? "Yeah, you're my best friend, but I just think you are monstrously immoral and shouldn't have legal protections." Sarah Palin lately said the same thing, and we know she doesn't have any gay friends; I'm not even sure she has any straight friends, but that's another post.

I have many acquaintances who I work with and who I must be civil with who are against gay marriage but they sure as hell aren't my friends, and I would be very angry if they used me to somehow excuse themselves for saying something stupid like this.

The gay fan-base is very important to a lot of entertainers, and this could ruin Osmond's career like it did to Carola Häggkvist until her agent told her to keep her religious opinions to herself!

I don't think Donny's career is big enough to "ruin" any more than it already has been. I mean, geez... the guy's a game show host!

And how many people are really interested in what he thinks?
