This is true. And it gets even better.

That's sad. Sorry, Tal.

Well, that just sucks. I'm sorry that happened. But what woman is going to compete with the gorgeous one he already had (if Shades is to be believed)? I mean, the dating pool is kinda shallow, when you get to be that old.

What a strange comment.

I work with a 41 year old single woman who would love to be married. She assures me the dating pool is not only shallow, it's almost dried up completely, which is why she is thinking of moving to Mexico, where, in her experience, the men appreciate older women. Evidently in her experience, men in her age bracket who are single are either still living at home with mom and dad and exhibit the social skills of say... Wade England, or one night stand gunslingers with no concept of commitment.

I have a 31 year old daughter who is single who has almost the same response as my work colleague on this issue. The difference is, my daughter isn't shopping for something that doesn't exist. Women who are in her singles ward are coming up with much the same response.

From the other perspective, gorgeous women are usually married by the time they reach Tal's age (although there are some notable exceptions).

Since I've been married for 37 years, I don't think I have much personal experience, so I rely on my friends and family who are living that dream/nightmare right now.

I agree with harmony. The dating pool for "older" people is quite shallow. I tried it for about six months after separation and realised that all I was getting was someone else's left-overs. And, to be fair, I was a left-over too.

However, Tal is a good-looking and talented celebrity and shouldn't have much trouble drawing adoring females. I wish him luck in the jackpot, because that's what it will be. While I know of some spectacular successes, in general second marriages/relationships have a poor success rate.

Generally speaking (don't hit me for making a generalization!), there's usually a reason why the first relationship failed. And people don't usually learn from their mistakes.

I think that's true. My mistake was to get married in the first place. But I learnt from it.

I'm not sure adoring females is what he's asking for. From his profile, he wants someone with depth and character, not someone who is in love with his money and his celebrity status. I'm not sure that's going to be easy to come by. Especially in Victoria, BC.

I just read his profile to my daughter, who just walked in the door from work (looking like she's been running with wolves... or middle school students... depending on the day), and her reaction cracked me up.

"He cooks?" The heck with the money and the celebrity. He cooks and he loves sports and fitness. He's a keeper. She's struggling to figure out why anyone would kick him to the curb.

We don't know the whole story.

Hey, I cook too. I make a mean scrambled egg.
