You know, I have no problem with public posts, anybody who posts here will get praised or ridiculed to no end, I can accept that.
But this personal AD (if genuine) is not a public property. You should have enough integrity to respect it.

As far as I can tell, this ad was placed on a public board (I didn't have to log in to see it), and a person placing an ad on a public board using their real name and picture doesn't have much of an expectation of secrecy, I would think. Are you really suggesting that a personals ad on a public website has the same level of sensitivity as a medical record?

And thank goodness it is a heterosexual ad. Were it otherwise, I have no doubt we would hear about it endlessly from some quarters.

I checked a bit more and learned that Tal's ad is listed under celebrity ads. There are many other "seeking celebrities" listed there, and it's open and public.

I don't use nor trust any of these sites. If I was "seeking" (I'm not) my approach would be "in the flesh". What you see is what you get. I thought I'd check out the Aussie ads anyway, under "women seeking men". There was this inviting pic:

Yeah, right, as if she would be single!

It reminds me of McDonalds ads. The hamburger in the big sign looks juicy and edible, and you wonder how come the real thing never looks as juicy and edible. Sometimes I've thought eating the ad would be tastier than eating the real thing.

This ad was not addressed to you, if you don't see privacy and sensitive nature of it I suggest you add a small measure of civility to self-education list.
I like your posts, I like DCP'S Posts too and ridicule them to no end.
This one is way overboard, I would personally hate it if people dig my personal ad and display in such manner.
It is called Low-Blow. And nobody deserves it.

Meh... you never know. You can't tell from that picture whether her stomach looks like crinkled aluminum foil from pregnancy stretch marks, or how many kids she's got sitting at home. You also can't tell from the pic whether she's a complete bitch, user, drunk, or drug addict. Maybe she's just damn stupid or a bore to be with.

There's another misogynist to add to the list here.

I'm sure there is. But it can't be a coincidence that most of the beautiful women are "taken", regardless of good or bad character. I'm also going on my own experience post-separation and checking out the "meat market". You get photos about ten or fifteen years old, and the cyber-space personality isn't quite the same as the real-life one.

I can't help but be realistic because of what I constantly see in the real world, that there are enough testosterone-driven young males more than willing to go for looks before anything else, and those women get zapped up faster than lightning.

The ad is just that, an advertising ploy. And in my opinion the whole "dating game" thing is a waste of time and money. Good luck to those who've had success. If I ever decide to "seek" again I have ample opportunities to do that - in fact have turned down several real-life offers in the past year. I don't need Yahoo.

You're a misogynist? Why'd you feel the need to tell us that? Having dating trouble lately?

Oh, I agree with your assessment, for the most part. I also didn't realize that was an advertising pic on the site as opposed to someone's pic for a real personal ad.

I was just pointing out is was possible (albeit improbable).

And, once again, the disingenuous post. How often you do that; you probably don't even realize it by now.

Yeah, probably. You probably stopped realizing it about yourself too (giving you the benefit of the doubt). Such is all too common.

However, it doesn't change the fact that your post was ambiguous, so to avoid any more confusion, who were you referring to in your post?

If it was me, than you either don't know what "misogynist" means, your reading comprehension skills suck, or it was just another of your own disingenuous posts. Take your pick.

And by the way, Mormon men would do well to avoid throwing around the charge of misogyny, given what their religion teaches about "a woman's place." It's like KKK members chastising others for being racist.

If you weren't referring to me, then maybe you should take care to not be so ambiguous in the future (although I have a feeling that you like to hide behind ambiguity).
