The Mormon church, in an "official" capacity has never explained this "abominal" passage from the POGP and why these creeds, beliefs and other churches are now acceptable to them.

I have no idea what weird notion of "an 'official' capacity" your hostile mind has cooked up, but members of the First Presidency and the Twelve have most certainly spoken about this "abominal" [sic] passage many times, Church manuals have discussed it, etc., etc.

You can get away with this sort of rhetoric at BYU and at MADB where you are protected, but please don't promote your apologetic lies here.

If I am wrong, and you are not lying, provide reference to an "official" explanation.

Otherwise, continue to spend your life here telling us all how busy you and "your" students (that's rich) are!!

I'm genuinely unclear as to why certain people can't seem to disagree without accusing those with whom they disagree of being liars, etc. And I also don't see why a thread that began as innocuously and peacefully as this:

I hereby ask the moderators to remove all future personal attacks from this thread and to place them in their own appropriate thread, where those who enjoy such things can enjoy them and even, if so moved, elaborate upon them.

This thread is about the SMPT call for papers. If nobody actually wants to discuss that topic, or to raise questions about that topic, the thread is entirely welcome to sink to the bottom of the front page and, ultimately, to pass into complete oblivion.

...it would be fascinating for someone to do an analysis on the differences between the way the Israelites treated the Canaanites upon their arrival, and how the Lehites treated the (implied) indigenous New World inhabitants upon landfall.

There's no set format for the précis, as far as I'm aware.

And I'm sure that the managers of the conference will make every effort to accommodate your schedule if your paper is accepted.

After dwelling upon the issues within this thread at length, I have observed some things which don't seem to add up. For example, Professor Peterson claims that there was no trace of mocking or disingenuousness in his OP. In fact, he says:

I posted it here, and elsewhere, because we would like to have as many serious paper proposals as possible, and because I thought it just remotely conceivable that somebody here might be capable of formulating one and willing to do it.

Later, he writes:

Despite the undeniable attractions of a forum on which solomarineris, poor antishock8, collegeterrace/PP, TAK, Some Schmo, harmony, and the various Scratches hold forth, MDB doesn't strike me as a place for scholarly philosophical papers.

Now, the people he mentions here are all people who've been banned from the MADboard. Further, I'm sure that DCP knows that some posters---CaliforniaKid, for example---are frequenters of the MADboard. So, am I alone in wondering whether DCP's OP was genuinely sincere? After all, why would he invite all of us to participate in this conference, and then proceed to turn around and insult us?

But there is something else I find curious. The following was written in response to Gadianton's inquiry about the fairness of the evaluation process:

I don't control the evaluation process, and I don't seek to do so.

I just found out on Friday that a good friend of mine, a well-published scholar with an Ivy League Ph.D. in political philosophy, is still smarting from having his proposal for an SMPT presentation rejected two or three years ago. I had been unaware of that when I extended a personal invitation to him to propose something for the May conference.

Boy, this sure makes it sound like The Good Professor has some kind of "insider" knowledge concerning the way this conference operates. I mean, who was it that "leaked" the information about his Ivy-league friend getting the kibbosh? Obviously, it was not the friend him/herself.

In any event, I am trying to make sure that my mornings are clear during May. I believe that a truly groundbreaking and astonishing paper will be delivered at that time.
