Seriously!! Doesn't God have better ways of dealing with renegades than lopping off heads and limbs?? I mean, couldn't Ammon have used the power of God to give them a good Sith type force lightning shock?? That would have sent them running AND saved a few arms.
If there's one thing I've learned from this board, it's that consensual sex with multiple partners is okay unless God commands it. - Abman

Apparently Ammon's sword (light saber?) had special cauterizing powers, since none of the disarmed flock disturbers died of blood loss (Alma 17:38).
Can any of these "517" Mormon claims be substantiated as actual claims by the Church? Or is this just akin to the 3000 changes in the Book of Mormon claim that actually number 300 and none of them doctrinally significant?

I don't see anything wrong or odd him carrying a book he's attached to. I have a 200+ years old illustrated prayer book( written my native language), pages were falling off, I'd take it whenever I went to church.

Does its words make sense in Mormonism? 200+ years ago has stormed the BIG apostasy. The things was not yet restored.
