Heard this one from some guy in a Myspace Mormon discussion group. Any truth at all to this?
According to his official biography, President Hinckley minored at the University of Utah "in Latin and Greek and read the Iliad and the Odyssey as well as some of the New Testament in Greek" (Sheri L. Dew, Go Forward with Faith: The Biography of Gordon B. Hinckley [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book, 1996], 46).
I rather doubt that he read very much of the Iliad and the Odyssey in Greek, but there it is.
Thanks Nevo!

Does its words make sense in Mormonism? 200+ years ago has stormed the BIG apostasy. The things was not yet restored.
It sure make sense when Prophets speak. Just remember something; Prophets, Seers, Revelators in GBH's caliber live in a fluid Continuum where time and space are irrelevant. Heck! they initiated Big Bang! (If U have been in Temple you should know this).
