Every time the Mormon God throws his fits of rage (like a sunami, earthquake, hurricane, flood or other natural disaster) - you know, events defined by Mormons as a signs of the times, the Mormon church is there to assist in cleaning up His big messes.
Who does the average Mormon think creates the need for compationate relief? The Mormon God or the Mormon Satan? Are anger, rage and creating human carnage attributes Mormons will be required to emulate as they become Mormon Gods?
What does that say for the character of whoever orchestrates the signs of the times or at very least, has the power to prevent them from occuring?
I have noticed that as of late, the Church also takes pains to state that events are not the wrath of God. Such statement were made about the tsunami and about Katrina.
No, they actually said that they're not saying it was the wrath of God. It might be.

If you think this entitles them to full access to the mind of God then you don't know God. Such a thing is impossible. Such events fulfill his purposes whether to wipe out the wicked, strengthen love and hope through allowing humans to help other humans, or some other purpose that is incomprehensible to our limited minds. I suspect it was a bit of all of them.
Their goal is to guide people to eternal life.

Mormons and even Christians, do not believe every natural calamity is because God is punishing us. Some things are random acts of nature. We do not believe life was to be free from all such things nor illness nor even bad things from other bad choices.
As for what Mormons thing about when they act compassionately when there is a need, I think their focus is on helping out those in the miserable conditions that need relief and they do not pontificate that much. I think your issue is not with the Mormon God but with any God that does not pamper you and wipe your little butt.
You do know that site is run by militant atheists right?

I think that's because reading what the Bible actually says causes one to militantly oppose its teachings.
It’s relatively easy to agree that only Homo sapiens can speak about things that don’t really exist, and believe six impossible things before breakfast. You could never convince a monkey to give you a banana by promising him limitless bananas after death in monkey heaven.

Funny, I've done the same thing and have not reached that conclusion. Now back off before I kill you and everyone you care about.
Note: Virgin women will be spared.
