Could what's left of the shrinking mod team please authentically ban antishock8 so his fantasies as stated above are made reality?

antishock8 was never banned. Not once. Not ever.

Awww....thanks, Ray!

I'm far from perfect, but I try to be fair. (Really fair as opposed to FAIR as in FAIR/MAD) LOL

You are correct. Antishock was not banned. He was suspended for a week.

Antishock, do you fantasize about being banned? I pegged you as more of a Goddess Suite fantasy man, myself.

The authorship thread was originally posted in the Terrestrial by me.

And you so do like to "own" threads, don't you? Well I don't give a rat's arse who thread starters are.

Jersey Girl wrote: Repeated requests to stay on topic were made by me.

The only criteria for posting on the authorship thread is to stay on topic.

It has been moderated in an effort to keep the thread on topic.

And in a very biased way. Yours and marg's signatures are written all over that thread, and you both tried to control it to your liking and biases.

Jersey Girl wrote:This thread is nothing more than an attempt on your part to disparage a person with whom you are frustrated in another thread and hiding behind a thread title that names Dale Broadhurst when you are infact after marg.
Anyone who bothered to read the Pearl Curran thread knows well the inspiration for this thread.

And "the person" who posted on the Pearl Curran thread is your soulmate in bias in regard to the S/R Theory and your attempts to control the thread.

So bugger it off to the Celestial if you can't take the heat in the Terrestrial.

That's a pretty serious charge. Where have I lied?

Here are your lies and thanks for asking.

Ray A wrote:Now Shades has said that any of the mods can moderate the Authorship thread, yet marg has a special dominance of this thread.

Liz, marg and harmony have all offered moderation on the thread. marg happens to be following it closely. She has determined splits as needed.

Ray A wrote:I did not say "special dominance". I said "special protection".

If I am not mistaken you said "special dominance" in the post I quoted above. That wasn't you?

Ray A wrote:It is a moderator's duty to search ALL posts on a thread they are specifically directed to moderate.

Not true. marg was not directed to moderate the pinned thread nor are moderators duty bound to search all posts on a thread.

Ray A wrote:marg doesn't have a great deal to do in the CK, and this thread was specifically assigned to her, at your request.

marg was not "specifically assigned" to the pinned thread at my request.

Ray A wrote:This isn't about health, marg it's about your awful bias!

It's about your exchanges with marg on the Pearl Curran thread.

Ray A wrote:The person assigned to this thread, marg, could not have missed these, unless she's incompetent, or biased.

marg was not assigned to the pinned thread.

Ray A wrote:You may not ban, you only want to censor whole posts because of ONE sentence.

Whole posts are not censored on this board.

I like to see serious discussions stay on topic.

Marg, this is an excellent thing to do. Uncle Dale is a treasure trove of knowledge.

And here's a further question I have for you: What motivated you to start the Pearl Curran thread in such a hostile manner? Did you ridicule the idea because it's in opposition to the Spalding theory? That seemed to be your intent - nothing would rival the Spalding Theory. So you tried to make the whole idea look ridiculous, yet it's an idea that has received serious comment even from Mormon scholars - who all think the Spalding Theory is dead.

(I don't necessarily think it's dead, but it will be until Dale's hypothetical connections can be made with certainty.)

Like it or not, Ray, thread starters play an integral part in leading the direction of their thread. That's one of the things I have always appreciated about this board. The thread starter can set up parameters for discussion specific to the topic of the thread.

How is that a lie? Marg has done most of the moderation on that thread. Do you know what the word "dominance" means?

And that's a lie? Who knows all the facts behind this awkward idea of making a Terrestrial thread a Celestial one and keeping it in the Terrestrial? You asked marg to be brought to moderate the thread, didn't you?. So let's not play with semantics about the word "directed". You asked for marg to be a moderator on the Authorship thread? Why?? Was it because you know that marg is a staunch Spalding theory supporter? And there's now no question that she was protecting Dale. She has said so.

So once again I'm asking - where have I lied?

Liz, in my experience very few MDB posters have "claimed" threads, and most MDB posters, truly, don't give a rat's about the fact that they started a thread. It's very, very rare for them to try to control threads they've started, but you can correct me. I have never done it. I have never intervened in a thread and said, "ahem...thread starter here....".

But sure, if you say that's the go, then that's the go. Maybe more thread starters will exercise their privileges more in future. I won't be one of them, and I've had more threads hijacked than a pilots flying between Havana and Miami. I don't care. It's a free discussion board.
