I was not moderating the thread at the time of the, but because I was asked to go back and look at posts I noticed that comment. Attempted to inform Bryon so that he could removed my note and replace his words of Danny Boy, but he never opened the pm.

I retract my statement about the edit being done without notice - I looked at all of the posts by Byron, but must have missed that one (without a working search function, my method was prone to errors).

I do, however, stand by the statement that editing posts for posterity's sake and removing harmless modes of address is not part of this board's standard practices (and a bit silly).

Here's the scorecard so far as I see it:

marg wasn't assigned to moderate the thread.

marg did sign off on her mod action regarding "Danny Boy".

The entire mod team overlooked 2 cases of ad hom which went unreported until this thread.

In one instance marg declined my request for a split.

marg posted hastily regarding "preferrential treatment" for Dale and explained her action on this thread.

What the heck else is needed here for people to realize that marg has been smeared by someone who:

- isn't familiar with the thread,

-is playing catch up as he goes along in order to level more accusations at a mod,

-that he misrepresented her as being assigned to the thread,

-that he didn't think she should mod on the authorship thread,

-that he complained on this thread about 2 unaddressed that he failed to report until this thread

-and when his concerns were addressed, he upped the ante called for her to be "sacked" as mod because it's not the correction of unaddressed ad homs he was after, he [b ]was after marg[/b]

-he doesn't give a crap about the thread

-has attempted to use the uninformed comments of others to support his position and that

-his entire series of unsubstantiated allegations are a glaring demonstration that he's simply out to "get" marg.

-and now advises folks to "give it a rest" because he's succeeded in aggravating the crap out of marg to the point of her quitting as mod and doesn't want attention drawn to the fact that he's been talking out his ass for the entire course of this thread.

Again, what protects the moderators on this board from poster bias against them?

I brought up that mod deletion to yours and other's attention on here, no one else noticed it. Nor did Ray. So the issue is not about that one minor edit I did, retroactively. Never was. My point to bring it up was to show my frame of mind was not to harass critics due to my bias. My bias and it affecting my moderation is the issue or charge by Ray against me. The extent of my moderation was extremely minimal, so Ray's complaint is not justified and I will show that, and that he had alterior motives.

The facts are you really don't know what happened.

Edit: Sorry I should also mention a thanks to Vicki for sticking up for me and Liz in your recent post thanks. Both these women have had terrible run ins with me but they don't hold grudges despite that.

I would go to bat for anyone that I thought was being mischaracterized/falsely accused, have done so for years and even if the person being mischaracterized/falsely accused/raked over the coals is a long time adversary of mine.

I just remembered this morning that I spent a fair amount of my last year's Spring Break trying to sort out a situation with you moderator actions. You drove me insane, I could swear that my eyeballs were bleeding from reading your posts ;-), but I wanted to get to the bottom of it.

Just like I'd like to get to the bottom of this.

What's wrong is wrong and if as the home page of this board claims "we're all want truth" then by God, let's get us some truth.

Well I'm going back and reconstructing the chain of events. It actually all started Dec 29th when Ray started his thread essentially on NDE's called An Interesting Encounter with Lady. So I'm actually rereading this stuff. It will probably take me an hour or so to organize into a post or two.

lol..ya but they deserve it. I love how all these complainers..are interested in throwing their 2 cents in when they really haven't a clue what happened, but then when you start willingly explaining and they realize it might require a little work to understand and perhaps to have to respond back with something which requires a little bit of thinking it's no longer important to them and they aren't interested in knowing any more. I love it. The mentality of people. I'm still working on this thing, I've just finished reviewing the Curran thread, should have this done..well at least by today sometime.
