I was obsessed with this song and video right after getting married. Still love it....

"Slide" by the GooGoo Dolls
http://www.mtv.com/videos/goo-goo-dolls ... lide.jhtml

Could you whisper in my ear
The things you wanna feel
I'd give you anythin'
To feel it comin'

Do you wake up on your own
And wonder where you are?
You live with all your faults

I wanna wake up where you are
I won't say anything at all
So why don't you slide

Yeah, I'm gonna let it slide

Don't you love the life you killed?
The priest is on the phone
Your father hit the wall
Your ma disowned you

Don't supposed I'll ever know
What it means to be a man
It's somethin' I can't change
I'll live around it

I wanna wake up where you are
I won't say anything at all
So why don't you slide
Ooh, slide

And I'll do anythin' you ever dreamed to be complete
Little pieces of the nothin' that fall
Oh, May
Put your arms around me
What you feel is what you are
And what you are is beautiful
Oh, May
Do you wanna get married Or run away?

And I'll do anythin' you ever dreamed to be complete
Little pieces of the nothin' that fall
Oh, May
Put your arms around me
What you feel is what you are
And what you are is beautiful
Oh, May
Do you wanna get married
Or run away?

I wanna wake up where you are
I won't say anything

Why don't you slide into my room
Just slide into my room
Oh, we'll run away, run away, run away

This is the Garbage song I still listen to:

When I Grow Up

And a hat tip to B23: one of the worst Bond theme songs (which is really saying something!)...Ugh...it really is Garbage.

Thanks Gazelam. :) I hadn't heard that one yet! We seem to have very similar taste in music after viewing your posts on this thread.

Here's another one I love from Johnny Rsesnik-(along with Limp Bizkit)
It's a cover for the Pink Floyd song
Wish you were here performed at the tribute after 9-11

Awesome video and song by Dishwalla

1996-Counting Blue Cars

Image

Must of been mid afternoon
I could tell by how far the child's shadow stretched out and
He walked with a purpose
In his sneakers, down the street
He had, many questions
Like children often do
He said,
"Tell me all your thoughts on God?"
"Tell me am I very far?"

Must of been late afternoon
On our way the sun broke free of the clouds
We count only blue cars
Skip the cracks, in the street
And ask many questions
Like children often do
We said,
"Tell me all your thoughts on God?
"'Cause I would really like to meet her.
And ask her why we're who we are.
Tell me all your thoughts on God,
Cause I am on my way to see her.
So tell me am I very far -
Am I very far now?"

Its getting cold picked up the pace
How our shoes make hard noises in this place
Our clothes are stained
We pass many, cross eyed people
And ask many questions
Like children often do

"Tell me all your thoughts on God?
'Cause I would really like to meet her.
And ask her why we're who we are.
Tell me all your thoughts on God?
'Cause I am on my way to see her.
So tell me am I very far?"
Am I very far now
Am I very far now
Am I very far now

The Witch

Well, she walks around late at night
Among startled people sleepin' tight
If you hear her knocking on your door
You better sneakin´away

Now, you know the score
'cause i set you straight
Well, you better be careful
Before it's too late
She gonna make you itch
'cause she's the witch

Lordy mercy, I certainly am glad I'm not sleep deprived anymore. I turn away witches knocking on my door.
The first man to see an illusion by which men have flourished for centuries surely stands in a lonely place.
