Thanks for weighing in everybody. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who sees this. What was more disturbing about that thread were other people who you would think are smart enough to get this.

After debating about whether I should walk away or continue my crusade to let my light shine on a hill, I started another thread over there.

Thanks for the video link Amaterasu and asbestosman!

Droopy is now at college somewhere?

I shall email the American Association of University Professors at once to put them on their guard against this terrible risk to their members.

Some of these men and women have children and little grey-haired mothers to support. But one day they go into work as usual, and they find ... My God, it just doesn't bear thinking about.

Chap, droopy is a political science major!

Analytics, no problem.

I can only hope that when he challenges his professors that their challenges to his views will help him question his political mindset.

With droop's doctrinaire views, are we sure it isn't this one?

Hi Analytics,

OMG, this makes me laugh. I can't imagine anyone takes Loren seriously, do they?

I suppose now I am going to have to visit the MAD board and read the entire thread.

I have to admit DCP might be right, Novak's Rule is a little bit funny when watching Analytics, The Dude, and Tarski debate the true and faithful on MAD.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

Out of curiosity, why is this thread in the Terrestrial Forum when it's basically an attack (or counter-attack) on Droopy?

Math is great, and it's sad that many people don't seem to get it. However, I think that it's also difficult to properly apply mathematical models to reality. In the case of population, there are many factors that should be considered. I think population growth will naturally decrease without having to chastize people for having too many children.

I'm not a big fan of blaming the worry on some religion of nature, but perhaps there is something to it. If one is worried about human popoulation growth because it means less room for other species, then perhaps the problems is one of relative values. While I don't love the idea of making a species go extinct, to what extent am I willing to enforce my ideas on other human beings? Who do I value more? What do I value more? These are hard questions. How many children can I save by consuming resources that currently needed by other species for life?

I'd like to help you out with this, yet, well, I just can't. I've observed this board's moderation for some time completely baffled, yet, yanno, it keeps it interesting.
