Please clarify what you mean by this statement.

Surely, you're not implying that President Obama is simply charismatic because he is black?

Of course us black folks are charismatic.

You could very well be right on this one. I know the Bush administration was quite disappointed when they found that Treblinka could not be reactivated.

That's real funny. Bush never attacked a well respected radio show the way BHO's campaign attacked Extension 720 on WGNAM in Chicago.

Hello Liz,

in my opinion, Ronald Reagan was the Greatest U.S. President from within the 20th Century.

If the Christian right hates him then I love him. They are one of the main reasons I voted for him.

That said I have been very disappointed in the picks for his cabinet.

I think he meant to say the Obama has sassy mojo, and his bootylicious political skills got the media all foshnizzel in his bodizzel. Word.

My only peace with Obama is that McCain didn't show any indication of being any better on the economy. I'd rather have a Democrat that acts like a Democrat (thus freeing the Republicans to actually act like Republicans!), than a Republican that acts like a Democrat.

1) Media more in the tank for him than has ever been the case for a presidential candidate - his many scandals were yawned at the mainstream media

I don't think it was the media that yawned; it was the people. Which substantive "scandals" did you feel were ignored? Are you also complaining about McCain's scandals that were ignored? (yes, he was cheating on his wife).

2) Bad economy hit two months before the election

That's not Obama's fault. Remember, McCain was actually ahead in the polls, but his ill conceived "campaign suspension" and other blunders contributed to his loss.

3) Outspent McCain - broke his promise about public financing and raised a lot of illegal money
How much of Obama's $750m do you estimate was from "illegal" contributions?

4) Not much of a record - lied about it and the shift left from campaign rhetoric has already occurred

What has Obama done as President that he said he wouldn't do during the campaign? As far as I know, everything I've heard about was something he said he would do, and he's following through on the promise (except the hiring of some people with lobbying experience into his administration, which was probably an bad promise to make in the first place from a practical standpoint).

No, I'm not a Democrat and I didn't vote for Obama. Just trying to see where the rhetoric ends and the substance begins.

Well, for a president who has only been in office 23 days I think he is doing a great job!

I do not agree with everything he has done but for the most part he is living up to the promises he made during his campaign.

He has several republicans in his cabinet, making sincere efforts toward bipartisanship, and working hard in what may be one of our countries most difficult times in the last hundred years.

Well, it is not like he is not trying!

It sounded to me like President Obama wanted people with a variety of diverse positions and opinions which is consistent with his choices for cabinet members.

Obama gets an A for effort on this one!
