Thank goodness the consciousness of humankind is starting to grasp the truth that a penis doesn't have some sort of extra power and authority and privilege.

I don't think this board has figured that out. Sorry!

Only the men haven't figured it out. What do you expect? Best to just leave them in their fantasy world and run things in spite of them.

Is truth dancer not part of "this board?"

Oh, I've figured it out all right. Since women have been mistreated by men throughout history and even today (sad but true), it's only fair for many of them turn on the lot of us and treat us in like fashion. And then when you call them on it, they tell you how much they admire some men in their lives as though it makes reverse-bigotry ok.

Then there's the double-reverse whammy where men talk about how spiritual women are as though it is somehow a sufficient reason for why women don't hold the priesthood or to explain a polygamous afterlife. Too bad the fool who came up with that lame excuse didn't think it through to see how much it hurts both sides.

I hope you have never gotten the sense from me that I hate you. I don't. I don't hate men. [Behind-the-scenes information deleted]

[Behind-the-scenes information deleted] Yet, now, I no longer internalize it. I'm no longer a victim. I'm a survivor.

Really? We're back to this again?

Mon, I'm trying to be supportive of you, but at some point, you just have to let go. If you were really that traumatized about what happened to you here, on the board, then you need to re-think posting here, or even reading here.

Please understand. I'm not disinviting you from the board. But I do think that you need to examine some things for your own emotional health. Obviously, you can't seem to let go of how you were hurt here.

[Behind-the-scenes information deleted], no longer posts here.

What is it that you hope to gain from these outbursts? Those who have hurt you have apologized repeatedly.

I'm not sure what you want.

At this point, you're only hurting yourself. You're allowing others to have power over you. They have moved on. You are the one who obviously hasn't.

You don't get to tell me when I have to move on. I think I finally figured it out and I'm scared to say it. [Behind-the-scenes information deleted] I'm not shutting up. You'll have to ban me.

Well I totally disagree with this, further I do not know any women who believe such a thing. I hope with all my heart, humankind moves to a place where we are respected as valuable human beings, regardless of body parts.

And then when you call them on it, they tell you how much they admire some men in their lives as though it makes reverse-bigotry ok.

I don't know any women who treat men like women have been treated over the past six millennia or so... (taking their property, legally owning their bodies, eliminating any rights, etc. etc), and if they did it would not be acceptable.

Then there's the double-reverse whammy where men talk about how spiritual women are as though it is somehow a sufficient reason for why women don't hold the priesthood or to explain a polygamous afterlife.

Yeah, this nonsense is about as condescending as it gets.

Change/evolution/enlightenment seems to be pretty slow, so big changes typically do not happen overnight. Concerning women, I think humankind has come a long way in the last one hundred years but of course there is a long way to go until there is equality and respect for all.

Think how long it took the world to accept the fact that the Earth is not the center of the solar system, or that evolution is a reality, wait, that still hasn't happened yet (smile). It seems for change to occur it takes individuals to see the light, little by little sharing it with others until there is a collective change in consciousness.

So, yeah, we have a ways to go!

In terms of the board, I don't know everyone but I do know there are some men here who see women as something other than second class citizens here for the purpose of pleasuring/serving men.

Unfortunately when some religions of the world continue to embrace male privilege it makes it difficult to bring harmony, balance, and wholeness to our world.

It's a pet peeve of mine which I should probably just learn to ignore.

When I hear about places where women are allowed to be alone with children but men are not, I'm a bit irked.

When men are often presumed guilty until proven innocent (think Duke Lacross players), I'm not happy.

When I hear about how overwhelmingly women get child custody and men get the bill, I'm less than thrilled even though I'm not happy with deadbeats either.

When I hear about women who don't want to go into engineering because it's too much of a boy's subject, I really wonder what's up. Math isn't hard as Barbie once said. My mother was very skilled in mathematics.

When I hear stereotypes about how men are too dumb to understand woman's point of view, I really have to wonder--do they understand mine? I often feel like they don't, especially when they talk about men just don't understand that women aren't the cause of evil in the world.

But hopefully my perception of the reverse-bias is distorted. It does bother me though.

I hope with all my heart, humankind moves to a place where we are respected as valuable human beings, regardless of body parts.

Me too.
