The biggest problem I have with this story is the daughters got him drunk with wine. WTF?? Wine in the scriptures was non-alcoholic. Translation error perhaps?

No you wouldn't. You'd use it as ammo to show how I wasn't serious about the Church and I'd get snide comments about it from you till the end of time. This is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation so I see the advantage of saying nothing.

Ummmmm.......no it wasn't. Alcohol is not inherently evil. We've been told that for this dispensation it's a no-no for us now in this time. It could be revoked tomorrow. It's a temporary law for a specific time.

So you have not. Thank you for your answer.

Either way you are screwed.

I didn't say either way but you're free to practice your mind-reading skills. I wouldn't put too much faith in the result though.

You believe that? That is seriously whack! Is this doctrine or just something you made up? Kinda sounds an awful lot like one of those "stunning insights into the workings of the mind of God people pick up hanging around the water cooler" you were speaking of derogatively in the other thread. Seriously whack!

I got it from reading the Word of Wisdom, possibly the best source for information on the Word of Wisdom in the entire world.

If you read it it says that it's a measure instituted due to conditions in this time period and gives an idea of what those are. A simple reading of the Bible will convince someone that this is not a universal law through all dispensations. This isn't rocket science.

why has no one talked about the fact that, drunk or not, lot was able to get it up? so, he got buzzed and suddenly his daughters looked hot? yeah, he had no idea what was going on. that crazy wine...you drink one lambskin of it and you're plunged into sweet, sweet oblivion.

and two nights in a row?
