"We never provide meat when milk will do."
Robert Millet repeats it three times at the end of this video:

Millet answers the questions folks "should" have asked, never gives meat when milk will do, and advocates that others do the same.
Creepy? I think so.

That video actually makes me wistful for my missionary days. "As Latter-day Saints, you already know more about God, and Christ, and the Plan of Salvation, than anyone who will attack you. Take my word for that, you already know more than your attackers will ever know." Ahhh...that was Elder Cinepro to a T.
It's also refreshing to hear him clarify the importance of the CoJCoLDS being the One True Church. That important point can often be lost in our age of ecumenism and bridge building, and even apologists can waver in their belief that other churches aren't true.
The Church needs more people like him.

Elder Runtu was like that, too. I used to really grieve that so many people rejected the Truth, knowing that they would be so much better off if they would just listen.

Ecumenism is for wusses. :)

Elder Cinepro and Elder Runtu had more priesthood in their pinkies than all the Vatican combined. Straight up.

Or...occasionally... SLCentral.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

The milk is the Gospel of Jesus Christ together with what is easily agreeable and biblically viable in LDS Church teachings. The meat is the weirder stuff that that would frighten away potential converts, as well as new members.
I think Elder Millet is right: It should be kept under wraps, perhaps via redefining misdirection (which seems essentially dishonest) or simply though a don't tell policy, till the members themselves request this hidden knowledge. For most, the Gospel of Jesus should be sufficient anyway.

Robert Millet is one of my heroes. I have a number of his talks and listen to them often.
This whole idea of presenting the gospel in layers is an old one. Clement talks about Peter applying it when he was learning the teaching of Christ. Apparently Clement wanted to know about baptisms for the dead and Peter told him he would learn that at a later time and he didn't need to know about that at that moment.
Joseph Smith told the early missionaries:
Bro. Millet is dead right in what he says here.
If you want to hear him discuss meat, check out his series he did with other members of the BYU staff titled Pearl of Great Price Discussions. I loved the talk on The Abrahamic Covenant best of all.

Joseph Smith told the early missionaries:
“Oh, ye elders of Israel, hearken to my voice; and when you are sent into the world to preach, tell those things you are sent to tell; preach and cry aloud, ‘Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand; repent and believe the Gospel.’ Declare the first principles, and let mysteries alone, lest ye be overthrown. … Preach those things the Lord has told you to preach about—repentance and baptism for the remission of sins.”
The Prophet spoke at a conference held in October 1839: “President [Joseph Smith] proceeded to give instruction to the Elders respecting preaching the Gospel, and pressed upon them the necessity of getting the Spirit, so that they might preach with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; to be careful in speaking on those subjects which are not clearly pointed out in the word of God, which lead to speculation and strife.”

The same people who promote the "we won't tell you until we have to", I mean "milk before meat" idea would NEVER in a million years think this is a moral or decent behavior for anyone else.
Think of a car salesman telling you how wonderful the car is and not disclosing all the accidents in which the car was involved.
Or a cult who claims to be a charity organization then little by little sucks you in over time.
Or a company asking you to invest without telling you the full truth and being upfront about the investments.
I mean seriously this MBM is craziness and completely deceptive!
