Creating a film whose lead character is a deviant, and portraying him as a sympathetic hero, shows he cares nothing for virtue or morality.

At best he cares nothing for morality, at worst he is fighting against the proper values he was instructed to understand in his youth.

Championing the cause of sexual minorities ? that's an interesting phrase, full of political balderdash. You seem to want to equate this behavior with that of a racial issue, like homosexuality is a birthright. Very sick.
