Buttars the buffoon is at it again

Post by _Pokatator »

Buttars can't keep his foot out of his mouth. This really shows the mentally of a key Mormon in the Utah Legislature.

http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/utah ... 84757.html

A portion of the article
The Utah Senate stopped working for about two hours Monday as Republicans privately met to discuss a lawmaker's recent comments that gay people don't have morals and that gay activists are among America's greatest threats.

Buttars is disgusting. enough said.
I think it would be morally right to lie about your religion to edit the article favorably.

You get what you pay for... or in this case, what you elect. If you elect a man who has no social skills, is bigoted against people who are different from himself, and who advocates all sorts of stupid legislation, it's not surprising when the rest of the world watches and decides that he does indeed speak for the voters in the state of Utah.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Here are a couple more telling parts from that article:

Waddoups also said that his colleagues agree with many of Buttars' statements, but has refused to say which statements.

LOL! Instead of categorically denying everything Buttars said, he, too, suffers from foot-in-mouth disease.

Sen. Greg Bell said Monday he disagrees with at least one of Buttars' comments.

Note: He doesn't disagree with all of them, just "at least one" of them.

Greg Bell continues:

"I don't believe that all gays have no morals whatsoever."

Yeah, only most of them.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Is Gaz really Buttars in real life?
God has the right to create and to destroy, to make like and to kill. He can delegate this authority if he wishes to. I know that can be scary. Deal with it.

I've been reading a bit about the history of the witch hunts, and this morning reading the thoughts of Buttars and Gaz, I see the same dynamic as those who felt women herbalists were of Satan and needed to be killed.

Seems some people have the very same mentality of those throughout history who blame a group of people for society's ills rather than looking at their own hearts and souls.

It is disconcerting to know there are people who find hatred and cruelty in the name of God so easy to justify completely ignoring a sense of compassion and care.

It is astounding actually. I wonder what has happened to those whose sense of humanity is so distorted.

I have the idea that LDS church leaders do not support the blatant cruelty toward the gay and lesbian population displayed by many LDS folk, yet they seem to not recognize that this sort of behavior and mindset is a result of church teachings.

Perhaps LDS leaders need to do a better job of teaching those really deep mystical topics, say like love, care, kindness, compassion, the Golden Rule, etc. etc.

My friend Chris will be manning a MormonGulag.com tent and I'm still toying with the idea of flying out for it to get some footage. Come visit us and get a free Deseret Industries hot dog. It's supposed to be a nice little carnival with free food and music.

LOL. That's a great article.

"There's always some horrible threat poised to destroy America, something we're doing that reactionaries say will cause God to unleash his wrath upon us. My grandfather thought it was tampon commercials."

Kirby does a great job of putting this latest threat to humanity in context with all the past threats to humanity. The funny thing is, I can't thing of one time that the church was on the right side of these social issues.

According to Sen. Howard Stephenson, in an interview on KTKK radio, Buttars was relieved of his committee leadership position not because of what he said, but because he broke his word. After his "ugly black baby" comments last year, he had committed to the Republican bigwigs that he would not speak out on these kinds of subjects anymore.

Howie said (here's the real outrage) that he agrees with most of the comments, but Buttars is being punished for embarrassing them again.

Chairman Buffoon Buttars

Post by _moksha »

It does Utah politics no good to maintain Senator Buttars as Chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, considering he is such a buffoon.
