Why Isaiah 48 is in the Book of Mormon when the plates left around 600 bce but Isaiah 48 was not likely written until around 520 BCE. I think Isaiah 45 talks about Cyrus.
Can you address why in the book of moses it says "And Satan said unto Cain: Swear unto me by thy throat, and if thou tell it thou shalt die" This sounds very familiar to me. Why is it not Jesus saying these things.
I'll certainly address the issue of Deutero-Isaiah in the Book of Mormon. I've done so at one of the FAIR Conferences and have a number of ideas regarding the issue. I've also gone on record in stating that despite my feelings regarding its spiritual authenticity, I do not believe that the JST (including the Book of Moses) is a restoration of a primary ancient text.
All one has to do is compare the Prophet's revision of Genesis 1 in the Book of Moses with his later views regarding the original text found in the King Follett sermon to recognize that Joseph viewed his labors in the KJ Bible as a work in progress.
So yes. More to come via the site.

I'm going to use the forum to put up personal thoughts regarding biblical scholarship/the Book of Mormon/ and LDS theology.
By tomorrow I should have a few audio files up on Book of Mormon and Book of Abraham discussions held with LDS students at Wellesley College and Harvard University. I also plan on posting audio files regarding the book of Isaiah, just in case anyone is interested.
Thought some friends here at Mormondiscussions would like to know.
best,

DB,
Congratulations!
I do mean it, after reading your review on FARMS:
"The Bible vs. the Book of Mormon: Still Losing the Battle" you
did a fair job expose their own weaknesses.
The whole DVD is based on firm assumption that Book of Mormon is false and Bible is true.
Well, that proves to be fatal argument as you pointed out clearly:
Living Hope Ministries attempts to contrast the Bible's historicity with the Book of Mormon's alleged lack thereof; the organization's agenda is easily witnessed through the film's immediate transition from the Babylonian captivity and King Herod's renovations to the producers' summary of the Book of Mormon story. Unlike their succinct summation of the Bible devoid of any and all references to the supernatural
Most of time we exmos quick to judge you but this is not our fault, we just react to what you publish.
I just love the way they present their side as facts vs fiction to Book of Mormon.

Congrats on the new site, Dave, and I applaud your honesty, and your willingness to treat the issues with fairness. I hope they eventually put you in charge of Mopologetics. It would be enormously refreshing, and would help to clear away many of the old, rotten, and poisonous cobwebs that were erected by the skinny-l crowd.

David, you've been endorsed by Mister Scratch.
We can still be friends, though.

Were the LDS students familiar with any of the controversies surrounding the Book of Mormon or the Book of Abraham?
I don't think David is familiar with them either, at least he does not have enough understanding of them to act. Oh well, his hangups caused by irrational thought are not my concern.

Condescension, I suppose, can help one to imagine that one has actually achieved a degree of status from which one can condescend.

Re: davidbokovoy.com
Looks like a nice website David. Good luck.
I'd also like to point out that it's been a couple of days now and Some Schmo, Antishock, Solarimas, Mister Scratch, PP, and Mercury have not caused David any trouble, and everyone knows who he is and he is an avid apologist. So, I don't know why it's so guranteed that if professor Hamblin were to come here that he'd be a victim of "character assassination" or rude comments. Of course, if he were to burst in here guns blazing with no thought of applying stendahl's rules equally to everyone, and then claiming victim status, well, I can see how it might become a little contentious.
