I have no problem forgiving a repentant individual.
There is no qualifier there oh pretended mighty gospel scholar Gaz. It says you must forgive period. You don't and the greater sin is in you. It goes on to say that you should say let the Lord judge between you and another but you must forgive.
I have a good book for you. It is and LDS book called the Peacegiver. Best book ever on the atonement. Get it. Read it three times. Then apply it. You need it.
I bolded the applicable part, Jason. And I didn't say they'd get ex'ed or disciplined; I said they'd get hauled into the bishop's office. However, church discipline is not off the table, for either the parents or the gay child, if the parents are vocal or advocating for a change in policy. (The Brethren appear to not like to have their feet held to the media fire...)

There was that scientific study that showed homophobic men got aroused when watching gay porn, suggesting that homophobes are closet gays, link to a summary of the study below. Perhaps Gaz is really a homosexual and he's in denial and fighting it.
While it is probably the case that some men who display antipathy toward homosexuals are attracted to men, the fact that anxiety in general is associated with arousal makes the study problematic.

Why is it that for someone to be a true follower of Christ in your eyes they have to lay down and allow filth to wash over them and say "Its ok, I love them and I forgive them?"
This is mindboggling to me.
How am I to forgive someone who is actively abusive? You forgive all who are struggling to be obedient. you forgive the repentant. You love the sinner and hate the sin, but that does not mean that you take no stand against false teachers. That does not mean that you are a doormat.
I come on this board and state an obvious truth in regards to homosexuality, and Im lambasted as a hatemonger.
I rememebr as a youth I was taught that in the last days peopel would call evil good and good evil. I thought to myself that that was the dumbest thing I've ever heard, and now thirty years later I see this prophecy coming to fruition.
Any society that embraces filth is ripe for a culling. I don't know how or when, but it will come. The modern Gadianton robbers that the Book of Mormon warns us about are already on their way into this promised land, and they are here because the people embrace them and their product. America wants its immoraltiy and substance abuse with any accountability, and its sorely mistaken if they think their private abuses are without side effects and social impact.

Do I curently associate with any? No.
No one is gay at a young age. And no one is gay unless the behavior is introduced as a positive thing, or as an acceptable alternative lifestyle.
We are only seeing it become a sweeping plague now because of widespread pornography and social acceptance of degenerate behavior. Remember the catchphrase of the nineties? "Tolerance"?
