I fixed it almost instantaneously after posting it, Shades. Before you replied. I wrote it as "there's" on my little sheet of paper (for some reason, I must hand write poems, then type them) but typed it incorrectly on the board.

And I'm supposed to buy that? :-)

I really can't decide which I prefer as emblematic of the type of "Mormon Discussions" that occur on this board, the pre-Kindergartners or the Scratches.

Either one will serve.

Great stuff indeed. The type of 'Mormon Discussions' that occur on this Message Board are mostly Scholarly. This is the best Message Board on Mormonism Scholarship around.

Well, given that you're a poster with one of the highest post counts, I guess I'd go with pre-Kindergartners.

Do these meet your approval, Shades?

There once was a child named Dan
And he was his own biggest fan
He thought he was smart
On top of the chart...
Don’t think he’ll ever be a man

Limericks aren’t that hard to write
Especially ones for this site
Just think of some words
Make them for the birds
And ready yourself for the fight

You don't have to "buy" it. You can know it. The evidence speaks for itself. If I had edited after your reply was made, you'd see a notation on my post marking the time of my edit. But you don't see that because I edited my post prior to your reply. :)

KA was a cupcake I read
I loved the things that she said
The cupcake was licked
The one that I picked
And that’s all it took to be fed

Shades like his words nicely written
In verse, the syllables fittin’
If you miss the mark
He turns to a shark
Atop your poem, he be sh**tin’

And then there’s that guy antishock
Never at a loss for trash talk
We sometimes agree
His views, I can see
But still, he comes off as a cock
