How to eat a Reese's, critic style

Post by _Runtu »

Mister Scratch: My sources tell me that Dr. Peterson and his cohorts on Skinny-L snack on Reese's while they conspire to defame and destroy critics' characters.

Dr. Shades: There are two kinds of Reese's eaters, and two kinds only.

Liz: Come into my lounge, and I'll tie you up and feed you a Reese's.

Mercury: I'll eat my f***ing Reese's however I please.

Some Schmo: Danny Boy eats Reese's to compensate for his inferior intellect.

GoodK: I'd tell you how I eat a Reese's, but I'm sure it would get back to my father.

Gadianton: It seems we can't even discuss eating Reese's without it devolving into a thread about DCP.

Harmony: My bishop knows of my Reese's eating habits, and I still have a temple recommend, whether you like it or not.

Jason Bourne: I don't necessarily accept both the chocolate and the peanut butter, but I do think that eating a Reese's can do a lot of good in the world.

KimberlyAnn: Would you eat a licked Reese's?

Runtu: This arguing about Reese's has got to stop. I'm really tired of it.

truth dancer:

I know some people enjoy a Reeses, and I do realize they taste good but they just didn't work for me. Do you know what is in them?

Milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate, nonfat milk, milk fat, corn syrup solids, soy lecithin, TBHQ), peanuts, sugar, dextrose, cocoa butter, chcoolate, nonfat milk, milk fat & contains 2% or less of partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (plam kernel and palm oil), salt, wheat flour, cornstarch, vegetable oil (cocoa butter, palm, palm kernel, shea, sunflower and/or safflower oil), whey, TBHQ, soy lecithin, leavening (sodium bicarbonate & sodium aluminium phosphate), vanillin.

While I tried to eat them, they were just not healthy for me, and as much as I tried to convince myself they were nourishing, they just sort of made me sick. And even though they are sweet and have chocolate as one of the ingredients, still I needed to find another treat.

:-)

Edit so you can read ingredients!

The only think I didn't recognize was TBHQ. tert-Butylhydroquinone

Reference 2 says TBHQ behaves like a hormone to activate the AHR nuclear receptors in the liver, and high doses can cause cancer in animals. This should be added to the Word of Wisdom as part of the "sparingly" clause, I think.

 These are great!

Here are a couple more:

Shades: There are two types of Reeses eaters. The Internet Reeses eater and the chapel Reeses eater. As long as they use correct grammar and spelling while describing their experience, I approve.

Marg and Ray: We know this thread is about Reeses, but we're going to talk about Book of Mormon authorship, anyway.

Bob Crockett: Anyone who eats a Reeses anonymously is a coward.

Scratch: I received a tip from one of my anonymous informants that the SCMC has given DCP a lifetime supply of Reeses.

JAK: I will eat a Reeses even though I know that the Moderators have the power to take the Reeses away, hide it, or change it's appearance and flavor.

Oh. Not even close, lady!

JAK would state: You state, "JAK eats Reeses". Just what proof have you offered for "JAK eats Reeses"? You assert that for which you have no evidence. The burden of proof is on those making the positive claim. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Where is your evidence for "JAK eats Reeses".

No applause please. It is a gift.
